Young Wisdom

Last summer our six year old puzzled over a daffodil bud.  As I watched, he suddenly lifted serious eyes.  “Mommy, why is it when I try to open the flower it just dies?  But, if I wait and let God do it, it’s so beautiful?”  I was still thinking when he answered his own question.  “I know,” he told me.  “It’s because God always works from the inside.”
