*My last point is simple: 1 man following Gods’ guidance influences and inspires.
He becomes an inspiration for the next Generation.*
Judges 1:11
 11 From there they went against the inhabitants of Debir.
(The name of Debir /was/ formerly Kirjath Sepher.)
*Kirjath—City*
*Sepher—Books (City of books)*
*It was the city that housed all the libraries for the Canaanites, all the Canaanite genealogy was there, all the Canaanite history was there, and all the Canaanite religion was there.
Here come Caleb and takes the city of books and turns it into Debir.*
*  Debir comes from the root word Debar which means /the word.
/*
*So Caleb is going to the City of pagan libraries and going to turn it into the place of the word.!!!! I’ll just have a fit myself!!!!! Whooooaaaaa *
*Read with* *v12*
*    12 Then Caleb said, “Whoever attacks Kirjath Sepher and takes it, to him I will give my daughter Achsah as wife.”*
*His daughter name is OX-SA*
*Here is a man 85 yrs of age that says “I want someone to take Kirjath Sepher, in fact if they do that, I will give them my daughter Achsah Ox-sa for a wife.
Now I wonder what Achsah looked like, don’t you?
Well it’s not Oxsa with and Ox it’s Achsah with an Ach.*
*Achsah means: Dainty, little, I imagine she was dainty, small timid, all this before she got married, delicate, easy to get along with.
*
*   Now one man step up and say’s: I’ll do it, I’ll take Kirjath Sepher.”
He name was Othniel.*
*Church Listen!!!!! Do you know what Caleb is doing?
He’s looking for a Husband for his daughter, u know how?*
*He’s not looking for a man with a lot of degrees; he’s not looking for a man that is the best looking or a good job.
He says “I’m looking for a young man who has enough faith to say I will trust God and take that city”.*
*  He wants a young man of faith for his daughter, someone who believed the word of God!!!!!!*
*But most of us are too concerned with the social status of the Job thing or the education of the people our children marry.
What we better be concerned about is, are they committed to Jesus Christ.*
*But here say’s “I’m willing to go and put my life on the line, because I trust Gods word.
Church listen to me if you are obedient to God the world will notice that and God will honor that!!!!!!!  *
*Now before I close I want to ask you do you know what Caleb means in Hebrew.
DOG,*
*He was a Kenezzite, and the Hebrews looked at these people as if they were dogs, they were looked down on.
And God accepts him, not only does God except him but a whole nation does.*
*     Now Othniel say’s “I want to be a part of that old dog’s family because that old dog is committed to God.*
* Do you see what Caleb is doing?
NOW THIS IS THE MORAL OF THE STORY HERE!!!!!!*
*Caleb is doing what older men should do, He inspires the younger generations to serve God He is being a mentor for the younger generation*
* Read with me the old mans prayer **in Psalm 71:18-19*
*   18     Now also  when /I am/ old and grayheaded, *
*     O God, do not forsake me, *
*     Until I declare Your strength to /this/ generation, *
*     Your power to everyone /who/ is to come.
*
*19**     Also Your righteousness, O God, /is/ very high, *
*     You who have done great things; *
*     O God, who /is/ like You? *

* That what God call us to be!!!!!! Mentors to the younger generation!!!!!*
