And so we come to my favorite Christmas story — the one about the Russian named Rudolph who looked out of his Moscow window and said:  “It’s raining.”  His wife looked up from her knitting and disagreed:  “It’s snowing.”  Whereupon Rudolph went into a tantrum:  “It’s raining!  I said it’s raining — and Rudolph the Red knows rain, dear!”
