Journey Through The Book Of Romans
Journey Through The Book Of Romans
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith!
Dealing With Struggles In Life
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
God works all things out for those who love Him. This is the first assurance of deliverance.
Scripture actually declares that "all things work together for good" to the believer.
Think about it: nothing could assure you and I any more than to know God is working all things out for our good.
All Things
1. The words "all things" go well beyond this world. God rules over "all things"—all the events and happenings that occur in your life as a believer. He works "all things" out for good in behalf of His children.
Work Together
2. The phrase "work together" means to create and eliminate,
place and replace,
connect and group,
interrelate and intermingle,
shape and forge,
press and stretch,
move and operate,
control and guide,
arrange and influence.
"work together" means that all things are continually working together for good.
God is in control of the believer's life. Daily, moment by moment, God is arranging and re-arranging all things for the believer's good!
It’s All Good
3. The word "good" means for the ultimate good. We cannot see the future;
We cannot see all the things that result from one single event, much less see the results of every event.
But God does; therefore, God takes all the events of our lives and works them out for our ultimate good.
For Those Who Love God
There is, however, a limitation on this promise, a limitation that desperately needs to be talked about.
God works all things out for good only to those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
God only looks after the affairs of the person who loves Him.
Thought 1. Think about it for a moment,
If a man does not love God—does not place his life into the hands of God—how can God take care of Him?
If the man turns his back and walks away from God, how can God look after him?
God is not going to force His care upon any of us.
He is not going to make mechanical robots out of us, forcing us to live at His beck and call.
That is not love; .
What God wants is love that flows from a heart that chooses to love Him.
The choice is ours: we either turn our lives over to Him in love, or we continue to take our lives into our own hands.
Dealing With Struggles
13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
19 The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
10 Don’t panic. I’m with you. There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.
Carnal Perspective Verses Spiritual Perspective
Carnal
36 Jacob exclaimed, “You are robbing me of my children! Joseph is gone! Simeon is gone! And now you want to take Benjamin, too. Everything is going against me!”
Spiritual
28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
