How might you be transformed by the Holy Spirit?
Speaking in tongues or performing miracles is not the greatest evidence of
being filled with the Holy Spirit. The greatest evidence is the transformation
of your thoughts, feelings, and actions.
By creating us in his image, God gave each of us the capacity to think, to feel,
to act, and to receive his Spirit. Unfortunately, too often we cut ourselves off
from the Spirit of God and selfishly determine the way we think, feel, and act
I. INTRO: BELIEVING IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to
pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for
words. And God, who searches the heart, knows what is the mind of the
Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of
God.
