REJOICE IN THE LORD

 

MICAH 7:7-20

          Therefore, I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.  Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me (MICAH 7:7, 8).

I.                   HAVING JOYFUL CONFIDENCE

A.   “I WILL LOOK UNTO THE LORD” (7)

B.   “I WILL WAIT FOR THE GOD OF MY SALVATION” (7)

C.   “WHEN I FALL I SHALL ARISE” (8)

D.   “WHEN I SIT IN DARKNESS, THE LORD SHALL BE A LIGHT UNTO ME” (8)

E.    “I WILL BEAR THE INDIGNATION…. UNTIL HE PLEAD MY CAUSE” (9)

F.    “HE SHALL BRING ME TO THE LIGHT, AND I SHALL BEHOLD HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS”

II.                JOYFUL REASONS FOR HAVING SUCH CONFIDENCE

A.   HE PARDONS INIQUITY

B.   HE PASSES BY THE TRANSGRESSION

C.   HE DOES NOT HANG ON TO HIS ANGER FOREVER

D.   HE DELIGHTS IN MERCY

E.    HE WILL HAVE COMPASSION AND SUBDUE OUR INIQUITIES

F.    HE CASTS ALL OF OUR SINS INTO THE DEPTHS OF THE SEA

G.   HE PERFORMS HIS PROMISES FOR HIS BELIEVING CHILDREN
