God wants us to Love God & Others
1.
The Bible gives us hope - v. 4
2. God gives us encouragement and endurance - v.
Application
All of you are heading back home tomorrow, so let me give some parting words of advice.
1.
The Word of God is what worked in your life this week, so don’t forsake it when you get home.
2. The people of God made an impact in your life this week, so make sure you get plugged into your church when you get back.
If you don’t have a church, talk to your counselor and see if they know of churches in your area.
You probably came to camp from a specific church so I would recommend starting there.
3. Tell as many people as you can what God has done in your life this week, but make this a consistent practice.
Don’t become satisfied with just a camp high experience.
Go home and seek the same things out.
All you need is your Bible, the Spirit of God within you, and the encouragement and help from other believers.
These ingredients will help you to continue to grow spiritually.
4. If you slip up and struggle with a commitment you made at camp, just remember that you will never have a day that is so good that you are beyond the need of God’s grace and there is never going to be a day so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace.
Just like riding a bike, if you fall off, get back on right away.
Confess your sin turn to Christ and embrace the forgiveness that is yours in Him!
5. Lastly, pray!
Every day is a spiritual battle, and our enemy would love to see you fail the moment you leave from camp.
Be watchful, be ready for the attacks of the enemy.
Pray each day that the Lord will give you strength to battle temptation, and trials, and wrong attitudes, and motives.
