Friendship
Real friends are hard to come by.
Your Perfect Friend
Here each person should be in a group of three.
The goal is for them to write down 3 attributes that they would use to describe the perfect friend.
Something that I have always struggled with is making new friends.
I am really good at keeping friends that I have always had, but when it comes to new people, that is not something that I enjoy.
Would it surprise you if I said that 57% of teenagers claim that their newest friend was made online.
As a group we no longer want to speak to people as it is much easier to communicate electronically.
However, we were not wired that way.
When God created us, He put us in a garden where we were forced to speak with people and communicate on a face-to-face basis.
God designed us as people who are to be in communication with those around us, and for this reason, it is important to make friends in this manner.
By no means, am I downing the advances we have made as a society in the realm of technology.
However, our bodies and souls were meant to spent time in the presence of others.
That’s why when we have a deep conversation with someone in person we feel differently than a long phone call.
It’s why a skype call can never replace that special hug from the person you care about the most.
Draw Your Perfect Friend
Let’s briefly look at David and Johnathan.
Johnathan came from royalty.
David was a Shepherd.
Johnathan should have been the next King, David should never have been King.
What is something that you could never break, something that seems totally unbreakable or inseparable.
What made this bond so strong between these two?
