Windows of Grace
Windows of Grace
Grace is like a house with five different windows, you can look in each window and view the house from a different angle, but it is still the same house just a different angle.
The windows of Grace are:
Saving Grace
Sanctifying Grace
Strengthening Grace
Sharing Grace
Serving Grace
Over the next few weeks we are going to look at each different window of grace.
Can you give yourself to really look at these windows? Ask the Holy Spirit to help you see Grace in your own life.
Saving Grace
Saving Grace
Save me from what?
2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
Jesus came to take the separation away between us and God! We were separated because of our iniquities and our sins.
God saved us because He is so good!
God saved us because He is so good!
God saved us based on his goodness, not based on our performance.
-Saved us not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace.
Saving Grace
Saving Grace
Gods power and ability to justify us, forgive our sins, and make us new creatures in Christ.
God’s power and ability that keeps us from being lost.
God’s forgiveness
God’s love rescuing us.
Grace is not a debt
Grace is not a debt
We don’t owe God anything otherwise it would be a debt, and debt is not Grace.
Being saved is not a reward we get when we do good things.
Prayer, healing the sick, telling people about Jesus, tithing, and going to church have nothing to do with Saving Grace!
“Even though the bible teaches so clearly, many people (even in churches) still think that if they are good enough, do enough good works, or lead a good enough life, they will make it to Heaven. that may be a popular religious thought, but it is not a New Testament truth-and it negates the grace of God as the means of Salvation. “ Tony Cooke
Its God’s idea to save us
Its God’s idea to save us
8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
God did not wait for man to straighten up and act right before he would send Jesus. He did not wait for us to deserve Jesus before He gave us Jesus.
Paul said the only thing we need to do is have faith that Jesus paid the price.
Are you ready to put your faith in Jesus?
