God’s Man
Paul mentions his Apostleship- This is a point of authority.
But that was by grace.
Paul mentions Brothers- This is a point of relationship.
They best way to lead when possible is in the context of family relationships.
We need to realize that we are called by grace to serve the Lord as God’s Man or God’s Woman in the context of relationships.
God’s Message
The message of salvation- from our sin
The message of living for the Lord in this present age.
.(Rescue-
Saved)
These are always to be in front of the Christian.
If we are children of God, saved by his grace, how does it impact our lives?
We will learn a lot about this as we move through the book of Galatians.
God’s Magnificence
You will notice that the exact wording of this would point the glory to the Son.
For who He is and what He has done.
He has saved us.
by giving Himself
He rescues us from the age.
He does the will of the Father.
He is supposed to get the glory for all our lives.
There is no room in a Christians life for self focused, self absorbed living.
There is no room for making much of yourself.
We are called to make much of Jesus.
This is counter cultural for sure.
If you listen to the world you come away with thinking that you mus brag and point out yourself as often as possible.
I would even say that constant selfies can be a form sin because they point out ME ME ME.
“I boast not of works, nor tell of good deeds,
For naught have I done to merit His Grace
All glory and praise shall rest upon Him
So willing to die in my place
I will glory in the cross
In the cross
Lest His Sufferings All be in vain
I will weep no more for the cross that he bore
I will glory in the cross.
