            A preacher was trying to persuade a well-qualified man to take a Bible class.  He declined, saying, “I just don’t want to be tied down at this time.”

            Without a moment’s hesitation, the preacher looked him in the eyes and answered kindly, but firmly, “You know, we serve a Master who was willing to be nailed down.”

            Odd, isn’t it, how we can receive our salvation at the nail-pierced hands of Christ, and fill our own hands so full of our own affairs that we have no time for Him. - via Seibles Road, Montgomery, Alabama
