My Shepherd

1) We live in a scary world! War, VT, Columbine, terrorism, gas prices, uncertain future.

2) Emma and the pigeons

3) the Lord is my shepherd

4) 16 times I and me appear out of 115 words

5) We see that God is a personal shepherd we are his sheep

6) He provides for our needs (not be in want) takes us to places of plenty and safety

7) He restores us from the damage the world gives us.

8) when we lose our way he is there to help us find our way

9) when life gets to our darkest times we will not be afraid because we know that he is with us and his strength protects us

10) He blesses us despite our enemies

11) Because of God our lives will have love and goodness in them.

The LORD is my shepherd,

I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures,

he leads me beside quiet waters,

he restores my soul.

He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
