A young Christian in Seattle, Washington, saw a man handing out tracts in a busy downtown area. The distributor had a satchel full of leaflets which he gave out rapidly without stopping to say anything. "Why doesn't he talk with people?" thought the observing Christian. "His method is so cold and impersonal."

Finally, unable to stand it any longer, the young man approached the distributor. He asked, "Why don't you ever talk to anyone about the Lord?"

The fellow blurted out, "Ugh—ugh— ugh!" He couldn't speak. He was a mute. But he was doing what he could.
