Genesis 6:9–14 NLT
This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God. Noah was the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Now God saw that the earth had become corrupt and was filled with violence. God observed all this corruption in the world, for everyone on earth was corrupt. So God said to Noah, “I have decided to destroy all living creatures, for they have filled the earth with violence. Yes, I will wipe them all out along with the earth! “Build a large boat from cypress wood and waterproof it with tar, inside and out. Then construct decks and stalls throughout its interior.
Genesis 6:22 NLT
So Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him.
In Gen 6:3 God started the countdown to the flood. 120 years.
God had Noah and his sons build the Ark. It took up to 75 years for them to build it.
Noah was 600 years old when the flood came.
Noah was on the Ark for 1 year.
Genesis 8:1 NLT
But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and livestock with him in the boat. He sent a wind to blow across the earth, and the floodwaters began to recede.
Genesis 9:12–17 NLT
Then God said, “I am giving you a sign of my covenant with you and with all living creatures, for all generations to come. I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will appear in the clouds, and I will remember my covenant with you and with all living creatures. Never again will the floodwaters destroy all life. When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth.” Then God said to Noah, “Yes, this rainbow is the sign of the covenant I am confirming with all the creatures on earth.”
The cross and the empty tomb is the sign of the new covenant God has made with us.
Through the cross we can overcome the world because Jesus overcame the world.
Never again will we be under the curse of death.
1 Corinthians 15:55–56 NLT
O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.
1 Corinthians 15:57 NLT
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:58 MEV
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
