NT:2343
Treasures
NT:2344
thesauros (thay-sow-ros'); from NT:5087; a deposit, i.e. wealth (literally or figuratively):
Moth and rust

c. to deprive of lustre, render unsightly; to disfigure: Matt 6:16
Matt 6:24. No man can serve two masters:
have conflicting interests, but they cannot both be his masters.
Matt 6:24. For either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Either the one or the other will be master; they are so opposed to each other that they will never agree to a divided service. "You cannot serve God and mammon" Matt 6:24; Luke 16:13. It is the Lord Jesus Christ who says this, so do not attempt to do what he declares is impossible.
If you will let me show you something that you can see for yourself what Jesus was really saying when He said you cannot serve two Masters. If you will just make your eyes cross and try and see as well as you did before they were crossed. As you can well see you cannot function very well. As a matter of fact you will cause an accident if you would try going about this world with your eyes crossed.
That my brothers and sisters is just what Jesus is say to all of us when He said, “You cannot serve two Masters”.
