Notes

1)They came to the other side of the sea. Meaning Jesus and his disciples. They came so the east side.

2) And when Jesus stepped off the boat the man with the unclean spirit came running out the tombs immediately.

3) He was living among the tombs. he was living among death. and no one could bind him. not even with a chain.

4) No one had the strength to subdue him. Many times the bound him with chains and shackles but he always broke them. No one has the physical strength to subdue him. he would rip the chains to pieces.

5)Night and day he was crying out and cutting himself among the tombs and mountains. This man was in bad shape. But lucky for us Jesus is there to save us when no one else can. When nobody is strong enough.

6)he ran up to Jesus.

7) Jesus Son of the Most High. this answers who Jesus is. He begged for Jesus not to torment him. But he was tormenting the man? Its clear that demons don’t understand to treat their neighbors as themselves. Demons have no respect.

8) Jesus commands the unclean spirit to come out and asks for the name. And he responds legion
