How to Pay your Debts
Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.
And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.
Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.

In this story we read about a widow a wife of the sons of the Prophets that died and left her with debt.

We are left to guess as who he was. According to history the antiquities of the jewsit was Obadiah the governor of Ahab's house who was also one of the sons of the prophets a servant to Elijah.

We do know he was a servant to Elisha we know he feared the Lord. And if it was Obidiah he feared the Lord greatly.
We are not told how he died we are only told about the mess he left behind

He died in debt he died broke he died with nothing to show for his name and no way to make provision for the kids to which he was a father too
And what the debt was a result of And I do not know if this man was ignored by the people he ministered to or he was a bad stewart History said this debt was incurred by feeding the hundred prophets of the Lord in the caves.

God did not tell him to go into debt and what we know about the sons of the prophets is they were apprentices and made a lot of mistakes they put wild gourds into their soup they lost their ax heads. They needed a lot of instruction. This must have been a wild gourd decision.

He loved the Lord and his family was in a mess and just because a man loves the Lord does not mean he knows much about money and this was his case.

He loved the Lord but that did not Shield him from problems or poverty and she loved the Lord and it did not Shield her
Your poor decisions affect your family.
thier family was in a mess and just because a man loves the Lord does not mean he knows much about money and this was his case.
death exposes problems that are already there.
When He died and she started looking through the paperwork there was no pleasant surprises.

She found out a couple of things
When He died and she started looking through the paperwork there was no pleasant surprises.
There was no Money
She found out a couple of things
There was debt
She was liable her husbands debts were transferred to her.
There was no Money
There was debt
It was secured debt her two sons were going to be foreclosed on.
You know what her instructions were concerning that debt?

Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
Every Christian ought to pay his debts. And yet there are many of us who have debts that we don’t realize. Many of you say, “Well, I’m solvent; I don’t owe anybody anything.” Well, in the spiritual sense, you may be a much greater debtor than you realize.
You know what her instructions were concerning that debt?
We Have a Debt to an Unsaved World
We Have a Debt to an Unsaved World
Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
But I didn't get the debt. It's almost seven years I can just file bankruptcy. It's going to drop off of Credit Karma
I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

We owe the gospel to this world, don’t we? We do! Your next-door neighbor—you’re a debtor to him. The person across the street, the person in the next city, the person across the ocean—we are debtors. And so we have a debt that we need to pay to the unsaved. We need to bring the gospel of Jesus to them.
I heard a story a long time ago about some immigrants who were going from the east coast of America to the west coast of America. And they were going by wagon train, back in the pioneer days of our country, and they found themselves out there in that great, vast wasteland called the Great American Desert. And they ran out of food and they ran out of water. And water was even more needful than food. And it looked like they were going to die there in the wilderness.

I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
And one man, who was the leader of the wagon train, said, “I have a plan.” And he took three of the strongest men; he took three of the strongest horses that they had left; and he took their precious supply of water and filled the canteens of these men with water. And he said to one man, “You go in this direction”; to another one, “You go in this direction”; to another one, “You go in this direction”—“and see if you can find water. And if you can find water, come back and tell us, because we’ll perish without it.” And so off they went.

The person across the street, the person in the next city, the person across the ocean—we are debtors. And so we have a debt that we need to pay to the unsaved. We need to bring the gospel of Jesus to them.
And one particular man took a course—just aimlessly over the sands he started riding with his strong horse and with his canteen filled with water. And, sure enough, there on the horizon he saw the green trees. He came to the oasis. He saw the water hole. There was a veritable pool of water. He jumped in the water, he splashed it over him, and he let every pore of his body drink in the water. He watered his horse, and he filled his canteens with water. And then he started to think, and he said, “I’ve already been traveling west. I can make it now by myself. There’s no reason for me to go back. None of them will ever know whether or not I found water.” And that’s what he did. Somehow they found out about it, and the man was severely punished.

What do you think ought to be done to a man like that? You say, “He ought to be tied to a wagon wheel and whipped,” amen? Well, what would you think of someone who knows about the water of life? What would you think about somebody who knows about the saving gospel of Jesus Christ? Don’t you think he’s a debtor to tell it? Don’t you think that we owe to these people who don’t know what we know? Don’t you think that we, like the Apostle Paul, are in debt to those people? After all, somebody told us about the Lord Jesus. And the treasure of evangelism has been given to us, and we must pass it on.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

The Lord died for us and we owe that to him
We Have a Debt to God
We Have a Debt to God
if God has given us new life, if God has put the Holy Spirit in us, then we owe him, to his His glory, our love, our service, forever and ever and ever. It seems contradictory, because we’re saved by grace; but the song says, “O to grace how great a debtor daily I’m constrained to be!”

Jesus Paid It All”; and it is true—He did. But have you ever thought about the next phrase in that song: “Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe”?

Well, you see, we’ve get some debts we need to pay. I don’t care what your bank account is: there are some debts we need to pay. Now, how are we going to pay them?
We Need an Inspiration

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

You say that's hard I'm still struggling with trying to love my spouse. And honestly it's not working out that well. How am I supposed to love those around me? You give yourself for them. You serve them. You pray for them love is an action it's not a positive feeling.
What was it that inspired her to pay this debt?
Well, you see, we’ve get some debts we need to pay. I don’t care what your bank account is: there are some debts we need to pay. Now, how are we going to pay them?
Her two sons were going to be come and put in shackles by the creditor and sold into slavery to pay off the debt.
We Need an Inspiration

If you have children you love them and you want for them better than what you had for yourselves.
Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
If you have a bad boss that is fine but it is much more grievous if your child has a bad boss
It is one thing for you to be in bondage to sin. But could you imagine your child facing the same bondage that you have had to that sin?
This woman had a debt for a long time. But she was not inspired to pay it.
The idea of her children being sold into slavery the lifestyle that comes with that of a slave. The poverty , The lack of freedom , the fact that all their hopes dreams efforts and strengths were going to be spent not for themselves and their families but for the slave master was all the inspiration she needed to pay off the debt.
What was it that inspired her to pay this debt?
I mean if you think about it if they went off into slavery the debt would be gone and she would not have to worry about feeding them.
Her two sons were going to be come and put in shackles by the creditor and sold into slavery to pay off the debt.
If you have children you love them and you want for them better than what you had for yourselves.
But She had Compassion
She loved them so she was inspired to pay the debt.
If you have a bad boss that is fine but it is much more grievous if your child has a bad boss
It is one thing for you to be in bondage to sin. But could you imagine your child facing the same bondage that you have had to that sin?
And of some have compassion, making a difference:
The idea of her children being sold into slavery the lifestyle that comes with that of a slave. The poverty , The lack of freedom , the fact that all their hopes dreams efforts and strengths were going to be spent not for themselves and their families but for the slave master was all the inspiration she needed to pay off the debt.
Think about the angles throwing your neighbors and your children into the fires of hell
I mean if you think about it if they went off into slavery the debt would be gone and she would not have to worry about feeding them.
Can you have compassion on those that have a debt against their life ?
Can you have compassion on people on their way to the fires of hell?
The creditors could not get her. Because she had oil. Oil represents the Lord's provision, his payment, his anointing, his feeling, is setting you apart for him.
The problem with the Preppers is I have what I need now the world can go to hell. Y2K
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
But She had Compassion
Some people have no compassion not only do they not care about people but they even hate their clothes. But they save with fear.
They understand their is a holy God and one day they will stand before them to give account for their lives. So they witness to save themselves. Some people go for themselves.
She loved them so she was inspired to pay the debt.
Jesus looked at people and had compassion he wept over them. He looked at them and had compassion on them. He had so much compassion that he died on a cross and the worst manner possible taking all that shame and all that sin so he could pay our debt.
She had compassion
She had fear
Do you have complacent or compassion?
But she also had love. SHe loved her boys
And of some have compassion, making a difference:
Think about the angles throwing your neighbors and your children into the fires of hell
And I believe she loved the Lord and she knew the Lord did not her children the preachers kids to be slaves but they should be about the work of the Lord
Can you have compassion on those that have a debt against their life ?
You know the greatest inspiration you can have is to want to please the Lord.
We Need Instruction

It speaks well to her husband's leadership that in her time of crisis when she did not know what to do she went to Elisha.
My wonderful loving father that I mess was like that. And honestly as bad as this sounds as kind of a good memory. Ginger. Dad what are you doing hey I'm just warning her. I'm not trying to save her I'm just trying to warn her. That's my job. The world needs people like me and people like you for weak people.
You know when we do not know how to do something there is no harm in asking.
She had compassion

Sometimes we need a little instructions but because of pride we are tow ashamed to go ask so in our pride we ruin our children we ruin our marriages we ruin our finances.
You know the greatest inspiration you can have is to want to please the Lord.
Her husband did not ask about going into debt he just made the decision on his own
At no time did the bible ever propose debt as solution to a need God was always the answer to the need. And debt always hindered God from working.
Judson entered College when he was sixteen, While studying at college, he met a young man named Jacob Eames, a deist and skeptic. Judson and him developed a strong friendship, leading to Judson's abandonment of his childhood faith and parents' religious instruction. During this time, Judson embraced the writings of the French philosophes.
He was traveling one day stayed at this inn and he heard the person in the room next door dying screaming out it was horrible death. only to learn from the clerk the next morning that his anonymous neighbor had been Jacob ames Eames, who had indeed died. The shock of learning the dying neighbor's identity – and that Eames had led Judson away from the Christian faith into skepticism, but was now dead – returned Judson back to the faith of his youth, Judson "made a solemn dedication of himself to God".and Judson decided follow god and become a missionary
But she went and asked.
You will notice the answer was not more debt it was not a bigger credit limit it was not a credit fix company.
We Need Instruction

It was not just a hand out.

“What hast thou in the house?” His assistance must be based upon her own assistance.
And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
He will help her to help herself. And this is the only true way to benefit the people.
Our assistance should therefore be of such a nature as to call forth the resources which they themselves possess, and to make the most of them.
It speaks well to her husband's leadership that in her time of crisis when she did not know what to do she went to Elisha.
However small these resources may be, they should be used as a vehicle for God’s
You know when we do not know how to do something there is no harm in asking.
It is much better than letting your boys be sold into slavery
Now God is going to perform a miracle, but He doesn’t do it without this woman’s cooperation.
We need to have a faith that learned to function.
It is much better than living in poverty
When God wanted to raise Lazarus from the dead, He told the people to roll away the stone. Anybody who can raise a Lazarus from the dead can roll away the stone. But God said, “You do that.”
Sometimes we need a little instructions but because of pride we are tow ashamed to go ask so in our pride we ruin our children we ruin our marriages we ruin our finances.
When Jesus wanted to turn water into wine, He told the servants, “Fill the water pots with water.” Well, anybody who could turn water into wine could fill water pots with water. But He didn’t do it. It was their job.
Her husband did not ask about going into debt he just made the decision on his own
When God wanted to save Noah from the flood, He said, “Noah, you build the ark.” Every time you look at a miracle—or most every time; or many times, at least—there is man’s part and then there’s God’s part.
At no time did the bible ever propose debt as solution to a need God was always the answer to the need. And debt always hindered God from working.
But she went and asked.
She had to act by faith and use what she already had
What did she have oil
You will notice the answer was not more debt it was not a bigger credit limit it was not a credit fix company.
That is what the prophets anointed kings with
It was not just a hand out.
“What hast thou in the house?” His assistance must be based upon her own assistance.
That is the holy spirit in our lives and it is in our houses or the temple of our body
before the miracle begins, we need to make preparations.
He will help her to help herself. And this is the only true way to benefit the people.
God can do it without us, but He doesn’t seem, often, willing to do it without us. He said, “Go, you borrow some vessels—not a few.
Our assistance should therefore be of such a nature as to call forth the resources which they themselves possess, and to make the most of them.
And then we have to pour out what we have

It takes faith to pour a little oil into a big pot
We need to have a faith that learned to function.
So God says to this woman, “Go get some pots, and get some pans.” Now then, he said, “Pour out what you have.” () That’s an act of obedience. Had she not poured, there never would have been a miracle.
When God wanted to raise Lazarus from the dead, He told the people to roll away the stone. Anybody who can raise a Lazarus from the dead can roll away the stone. But God said, “You do that.”
You know what you use to get rid of your debt something God has already provided.
Michelle come here bring your Bible “Do you believe I’m the man God has called to lead you?” “Do you believe I tell the truth?” She said, “Yes, I do.”
When Jesus wanted to turn water into wine, He told the servants, “Fill the water pots with water.” Well, anybody who could turn water into wine could fill water pots with water. But He didn’t do it. It was their job.

If I were to ask you to do something that you could do right now, and you could do it right where you are—it would be very easy for you to do—would you do it?
What did she have oil
He said, “All right. Would you give me five dollars?”
That is what the prophets anointed kings with
He said, “Didn’t I tell you I wouldn’t ask you to do anything you couldn’t do?” “Yes.” “Didn’t you say you love me and trust me?” “Yes.” “You believe I’m the man God has called to lead ?” “Yes.” “You believe I’m telling the truth?” “Yes.” “All right then, I believe you can give me five dollars.
Remember oil represented God's provision, his payment, his feeling, his anointing, his setting apart.
That is the holy spirit in our lives and it is in our houses or the temple of our body
I said that you could do it right now where you are. Give me five dollars.”
She got exasperated. She said, “But I don’t have five dollars.” He said, “Is that your Bible?” She said, “Yes, it is.” He took it and opened it and pulled five dollars out.
before the miracle begins, we need to make preparations.
She said, “How did that get in there?” He said, “I put it in there.” And then he told her what I want to tell you: that God will never require of us anything that He’s not already given us. That’s a great truth. God never requires of us anything that He’s not already given us.
God can do it without us, but He doesn’t seem, often, willing to do it without us. He said, “Go, you borrow some vessels—not a few.
You see he already provided what we need to pay our debts.

Michelle come here bring your Bible “Do you believe I’m the man God has called to lead you?” “Do you believe I tell the truth?” She said, “Yes, I do.”
And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
“Do you love me?” She said, “Yes, I do.”
She had something that the neighbors did not have
“Well if you believe I’m called to lead you , you believe I tell the truth, and you love me,
She had oil tye of the holy spirit
If I were to ask you to do something that you could do right now, and you could do it right where you are—it would be very easy for you to do—would you do it?
They had empty vessels
He said, “All right. Would you give me five dollars?”
Her only vessel she had oil in it
But all of theres were empty
He said, “Didn’t I tell you I wouldn’t ask you to do anything you couldn’t do?” “Yes.” “Didn’t you say you love me and trust me?” “Yes.” “You believe I’m the man God has called to lead ?” “Yes.” “You believe I’m telling the truth?” “Yes.” “All right then, I believe you can give me five dollars.
I said that you could do it right now where you are. Give me five dollars.”
He said go get all of those empty vessels from your neighbors
Come home with your kids and shut the door and pour the oil from your little pot into there pot.
She got exasperated. She said, “But I don’t have five dollars.” He said, “Is that your Bible?” She said, “Yes, it is.” He took it and opened it and pulled five dollars out.
She said, “How did that get in there?” He said, “I put it in there.” And then he told her what I want to tell you: that God will never require of us anything that He’s not already given us. That’s a great truth. God never requires of us anything that He’s not already given us.
Listen behind closed doors is were the most important things take place in the jury room
In the situation room
You see he already provided what we need to pay our debts.
In the conference room what are the deacons meeting about.
We just need instructions on how to have a faith that functions.
But the greatest things happen in the prayer room when you go into your closet with God
Has your faith begin to function? Have you began to look to the Lord and look Within or are you always looking for external answers? Are you looking for a genie or a faith that functions?
We Need Intersession
We Need Intersession
And you shut out all the unbelieving world and the only people in that room are people with oil and they are pourning that oil into their neighbors vessels.
The only way we can pay our spiritual debts of evangelism , of living in the spirit , of loving the brethren
Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
Is when we get in the prayer closet and shut the door
And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
And we pour oil into those we have debts with
When is the last time you interseeded for your neighbors souls with your family
She had something that the neighbors did not have
She had oil tye of the holy spirit God's provision, God's payment, God's anointing, God's filling oh, God setting apart, God's marking
When is the last time you shut out those that have doubts those that do not believe those that do not have oil nad you got alone with God and by faith poured oil into their vessels.
God my grandpa, neighbor my coworker he is empty he has no oil Lord would you take the oil you given to me and give to him ? would you save him ?
They had empty vessels
The kids say mom benjamens vessel is full he got saved here is old man jims vessel at the end of the street. He got saved here is granmas.
Her only vessel she had oil in it
But all of theres were empty
Mom they all got saved there is not a vessel more.
Oh that we would interceed
He said go get all of those empty vessels from your neighbors
Come home with your kids and shut the door and pour the oil from your little pot into there pot.
The debt is paid behind closed doors
Listen behind closed doors is were the most important things take place in the jury room
Go get their vessels from them
What can I pray for you about?
In the situation room
In the conference room what are the deacons meeting about.
The oil keeps coming as long as you have empty vessels
But the greatest things happen in the prayer room when you go into your closet with God
It is only limited by your pouring
When our need is urgent, and we spread it before God, the question is never about the amount of oil, but of the empty vessels. We fear that there will not be enough oil; God is concerned lest we fail to bring sufficient vessels to hold all he wants to give.
And you shut out all the unbelieving world and the only people in that room are people with oil and they are pourning that oil into their neighbors vessels.
We Need an Interest
We Need an Interest
The only way we can pay our spiritual debts of evangelism , of living in the spirit , of loving the brethren
Is when we get in the prayer closet and shut the door
Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
And we pour oil into those we have debts with
To pay your debts you have to have an interest a means to pay it.
When is the last time you interseeded for your neighbors souls with your family
You have to have oil we have the means to pay our debt
You have to sell the oil to those that need it who needs oil ?
When is the last time you shut out those that have doubts those that do not believe those that do not have oil nad you got alone with God and by faith poured oil into their vessels.
God my grandpa, neighbor my coworker he is empty he has no oil Lord would you take the oil you given to me and give to him ? would you save him ?
Those that doesn't have oil and in this case those that dont have the holy spirit.
The kids say mom benjamens vessel is full he got saved here is old man jims vessel at the end of the street. He got saved here is granmas.
Those that do not have gods provided payment
Mom they all got saved there is not a vessel more.
They need oil because oil is the answer for debt , for the creditors , for life , they were to live on that oil
It was the answer to empty vessels.
Oh that we would interceed
You go to sell it to those that need it so they get oil
The debt is paid behind closed doors
Go get their vessels from them
An exchange takes place you get what they have and they get your oil
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
What can I pray for you about?
The oil keeps coming as long as you have empty vessels
And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
It is only limited by your pouring
They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
When our need is urgent, and we spread it before God, the question is never about the amount of oil, but of the empty vessels. We fear that there will not be enough oil; God is concerned lest we fail to bring sufficient vessels to hold all he wants to give.
“Nothing is well done without prayer for the simple reason that it leaves God out of the account.”
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
E.M. Bounds,
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Have you ever seen a vessel filled through intercession?
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you.
But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
We Need an Interest
We Need an Interest
Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
If you did not have oil you cannot sell it. If you do not have oil you can't pay your debt to God. If you don't have oil you can't pay the debt to the Lost World. To the body of Christ. To the Lord himself.
If you don't have oil you can't live.
But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
You have to have oil. Which is God's payment, God's provision, God's anointing, God's filling,
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
How do you get the Lords oil you have an exchange you give him your sin and you get his provision.
To pay your debts you have to have an interest ,an investment, an item a commodity means to pay it. And it has to be something that somebody needs. It has to be the correct currency.
You have to have oil we have the means to pay our debt
Mat_19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
Her husband had the debt first but now she was given the debt
You have to get the oil to those that need it who needs oil ? The people that do not know God.
Those that doesn't have oil and in this case those that dont have the lost.
She had something that the neighbors did not have
Those that do not have gods provided payment
She had oil
They had empty vessels
They need oil because oil is the answer for debt , for the creditors , for life , they were to live on that oil
Her only vessel she had oil in it
It was the answer to empty vessels.
But all of theres were empty
You see her husband had a debt and that debt was transferred to her. What was his debt well his job was to get God's message to people that needed it. She paid his debt or we could say she continued his work.
You go to get it to those that need it so they get oil
An exchange takes place they get rid of something they have and they get your oil which is God's oil.
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

How would they buy oil? They had no money. All they had was an empty vessel and a lamp that had no light. Jesus is the light of the world and they didn't have him.
How do you get the Lords oil to people? you have to facilitate an exchange you give them his oil and they give him thier sin
The Creditor is simply the person that makes you pay the debt. But the debt we owe is to God.
Mat_19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
He had to exchange his covetousness for faith. And then give that faith to the poor.
Her husband had the debt first but now she was given the debt
She had something that the neighbors did not have
She had oil
The Bible says we have this treasure in Earthen vessel.
The Bible says in who have also sealed us, and given the earnest of the spirit in our hearts.
They had empty vessels
Her only vessel she had oil in it
We all have debts.
We owe a debt of sin to a holy God. The Creditor makes you pay the debt but we owe the debt to God. But he provides the payment.
As we close. And move towards the invitation. And the piano player comes forward.
I want you to ask yourself this question. Do I have oil? Do I have the payment of God, the provision of God the filling of God the anointing of God. Is the Holy Spirit In My Heart.
If you don't why don't you come to Jesus Christ today and exchange your sin for the savior. We can show you how to make that Exchange . That is our debt we owe that to you . Many of us here have oil. We have Gods payment and his provision.
If we want the blessing of God we must have something he can bless
Maybe you're here and you have the payment but it's just sitting in your house.
Maybe up to this point you didn't even know you had a debt. And you had no idea how to pay it. Maybe you have been unwilling to pay.
Maybe you're not sure if you're giving it out. Why don't you come ask God for an inspiration for someone to instruct you. Why don't you make an intercession to God to help you pay your debt. Not the debt of sin. But the spiritual debt debt that you owe. The debt of evangelism the debt of a Spirit Led life. The debt of love to the body.
