The Situation:

The setting: A brother or sister is in need.

The response: Wishing them well over offering help.

The conclusion: What profit is this behavior?

The obligation: Faith without works is dead faith.

The Lessons:

1. It is easy to offer quick solutions for difficult problems.

2. It is easy to overlook or reject people in need.

3. It is easier to talk than take action.

4. It is easy to wish others well when things are going well for us.

5. It is imperative to help those who need our help.

Make It Personal:

Do I know of a need in someone’s life I can meet?

Am I guilty of offering solutions instead of rolling up my sleeves?

Is my faith a living faith?

Truth To Take Home: A living faith is an acting faith.

A living faith is an acting faith.
