I. You become who/what you worship
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths, but do not speak; they have eyes, but do not see; they have ears, but do not hear, nor is there any breath in their mouths. Those who make them become like them, so do all who trust in them.

Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
An Acts Twenty-nine Church is an upward church, a worshiping church. Lewis said in The Four Loves, "Every Christian would agree that a man's spiritual health is exactly proportional to his love for God." Add to this a divine inwardness - a caring church - so that the world begins to believe. Such a church is also an outward church - evangelistic, mission-minded - that triumphantly extends the book of Acts in its own day.
in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.
1 Tim 1:11
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

“Worship is the submission of all of our nature to God. It is the quickening of the conscience by his holiness; the nourishment of mind with his truth; the purifying of imagination by his beauty; the opening of the heart to his love; the surrender of will to his purpose--all this gathered up in adoration, the most selfless emotion of which our nature is capable.”

Life is so full …what do you fill it with… Social Media growth =
2.5 rs in a day… many Christians less than that in a week on corporate worship…
How about personal/ family worship? How about weekly worship - 2017 increasing number in denomnination not worshipping every week (12.5)% - crowd out worship…
Evening worship more than 1/2 don’t have, and those that do only 14% regularly, less than 1/4 2 or 3 times inthe mnonth.
But big time worship events shape our lives… how do we ensure that that continues? How ensure worship really affects your week - well what you bring to worship ass much as what’s there… how have you prepared?
On that day men were appointed over the storerooms, the contributions, the firstfruits, and the tithes, to gather into them the portions required by the Law for the priests and for the Levites according to the fields of the towns, for Judah rejoiced over the priests and the Levites who ministered.
Can see this with retirement - storeup and plan … Well -we here invest in worship - Bernice, Rachel, Ike, bring talent, invest in instruments, music, choir practices. I do spend time selecting congregational, majestic, heart felt - What’s in the church’s worship storeroom? What’s in your peronsal worship storeroom ?
everyone contributed - planned tithe, Lord deserves our best,
not caviar and fillet million denom, meat and potatoes - but excellence
Out tithe - not the same thing as relief work or even special missions, but for the continuing and spread of Christain worship with proclamation of the gospel inthat worship at the centre … people tithe, Levites tite of the tithe, regular daily provisions, supporto f priest and Aaron,
CONCLUSION:
The immense tragedy of the contemporary church is that most people worship their work, work at their play, and play at their worship. A. W. Tozer, a man who was a prophet to the modern church, put it this way:

became as natural as breathing.
Worship is the primary characteristic of the church that refuses to become a monument. The immense tragedy of the contemporary church is that most people worship their work, work at their play, and play at their worship. A. W. Tozer, a man who was a prophet to the modern church, put it this way:
We have lost our spirit of worship and our ability to withdraw inwardly to meet God in adoring silence. Modern Christianity is simply not producing the kind of Christian who can appreciate or experience the life in the Spirit. The words, "Be still, and know that I am God," mean next to nothing to the self-confident, bustling worshiper in this middle period of the twentieth century.
A vast host of hurrying, scurrying believers seldom slow down enough to even glance upward when they are in church. The opening prayer is a time to shut one's eyes and reflect on what has to be done that day or week. The hymns are opportunities to slip into neutral. The preaching of God's Word is something to endure. One "Dear Abby" column described a poll the writer took, asking churchgoers why they went to church. Not one of them mentioned worship. That is not always the fault of the attenders because church leaders address God like a busy grocery store clerk, pick hymns at random, and deliver the sermon with little regard for what God's Word actually says or means for us today. Such conditions will ultimately produce a relic of a church.

But you know why this passage is so memorable - superlatives…not just celebrat4e but with gladness!
And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites in all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication with gladness, with thanksgivings and with singing, with cymbals, harps, and lyres.
Not just choirs:

There is nothing HALF-HEARTED about the worship of the God they’ve personally experienced and met with: Not just joy but GREAT JOY…
And they offered great sacrifices that day and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women and children also rejoiced. And the joy of Jerusalem was heard far away.
SPREADS heard beyond the walls, experience the lavish generosity of God, praise him lavishly too!
