8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
NASB95
"The word of faith" when preach produces faith by revealing possibility.
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
"The word of faith" when preach produces faith by revealing possibility.
Real Faith produces a real work. Which release real results!
NASB95

What is the result of faith here? Salvation!
Real Faith produces a real work. Which release real results!
Faith is the basis of our relationship of God. Faith is an attitude of dependence which require another to fulfill ones deepest need.
Limitations and boundaries are formed in the mind.
Repentance prepares man’s heart to believe, faith is the channel through which God’s grace flows in to man’s life.
Faith is how one come to God.
6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
he 11:
He that comes to God must believe,
Faith is the basis of this approach and contact.
Limitations and boundaries are formed in the mind.
Faith is not an unreal, intangible element, but faith is so real that the Bible says faith gives substance. This substance forms the substructure upon which God bulilds in each of our lives His spiritual house. So faith becomes the foundation of our relationship to God.
1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
he 11:
Having the faith substance give us hope.
There is a difference between faith and hope.
1. Hope is directed toward the future. Faith is established in the present.
2. Hope is an attitude of expectancy concerning things that are still future. Faith is a substance, something real and definite within us. We possess it here and now.
Limitations and boundaries are formed in the mind.
Hope is future, faith is here and now.
3. Hope is primarily in the realm of the mind.
8 But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Having a proper basis of salvation coming from faith one is brought into the sphere of hope.
Having a proper basis of salvation coming from faith one is brought into the sphere of hope.
Limitations and boundaries are formed in the mind.
Where are limitations and boundaries formed? In the mind.
Our mind is the place where we form conclusions about what is possible for our lives. What we can and cannot do. What is right and what is wrong and what to pursue and not to pursue
What is possible and what is not.
What to trust and who to trust. What is right and wrong
And if the devil can stain our minds and bring confusion he can control us.
33 for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
NASB95
Where is confusion birth? the mind
33 for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
“What ever control the mind controls you.” Dr. Carroll Thompson
Dr. Carroll Thompson says
“what ever control the mind controls you.”
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
NASB95
It takes faith to do the impossible
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
It takes faith to do the impossible
And now because of faith everything becomes possible.
One man says that's impossible
The Man of faith says
"With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
NASB95
And with possibility comes the ability to choose.
24 “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.
26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
And with possibility comes the ability to choose.
1. Faith establishes the foundation for a relationship to God now.
2. Faith becomes the receptacle to receive the benefits of God now.
Faith brings God’s PROVISION into the PRESENT.
Faith creates substance by speaking.
Faith spoken creates.
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
worlds were framed (CREATED) by the word of God,
How to talk and what to say.
We are responsible for what we created.
Sweet Katherine gave me this scripture after church last Sunday
Because the bible says what come out of the mouth is what is in the heart.
23 “Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.
Whoever SAYS!!!
Are you speaking faith.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
matt 12
23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin.
Why is not speaking faith a bad thing?
what come out of the mouth is what is in the heart.
NASB95
18 “But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
notice they defile the man....
NASB95
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Evidence is the word elegkos: meaning proof, a conviction, that by which a thing is tested or proven. A courtroom term dealing with evidence presented in a case.
Because of this we get to choose what we will eat.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen
My situation says Im sick
Evidence is the word elegkos meaning proof, a conviction, that by which a thing is tested or proven. A courtroom term dealing with evidence presented in a case.
Faith has to go beyond the physical sense. “Things not seen” not physical
My faith says “by his stripes we are healed
“Things not seen” not physical
I had no father
1. The senses deal with material, temporal and changeable substance. Faith deals with the invisible, eternal unchanging substance.
My faith says those who are led by the spirit are son of God
2. Faith must go beyond the senses.
My mind says I did wrong I messed up and there is not way out.
For we walk by faith and not by sight. 2 Corthinians 5:7
But the bible says
3. The faith of Abraham went beyond physical senses.
NASB95
Turn to
17 (as it is written, “A father of many nations have I made you”) in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.
18 In hope against hope he believed, so that he might become a father of many nations according to that which had been spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”
19 Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb;
20 yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God,
21 and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.
Steps of faith
1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

My mind says I will always live in sin
Steps of faith
1. Received the promises of God as being true. Vs 17
But verse 2 says
2. Changed his hope into faith vs 18
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
My mind says no one did anything for me
3. Refuses to accept the testimony of ones physical senses vs 19 and 20
4. Gave praise to God before receiving vs 20
NASB95
3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,
The faith of Thomas was limited to his physical senses.
25 So the other disciples were saying to him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
26 After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.”
27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.”
28 Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”
I don’t have any help
NASB95

4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
The spirit is our helper connecting to our mind
See first then believe.
NASB95
Seeing was believing
Faith consists of believing first before seeing, jesus said to Martha,
5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
if you believe, you will see the glory of God.”
40 Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
Faith gathers the evidence and comes to conviction.
I got to be more spiritually minded
Faith gathers the evidence and comes to conviction.
There is a blessing for having a spiritual mind
This evidence is not subjective, emptional feelings.
NASB95
Feeling change according to circumstances.
6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
The evidence is outside ourselves.
I need peace and by faith peace is possible
This evidence is definite objective fact.
NASB95
This evidence is based on objective truth.
7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,
8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
This truth is God’s Word written down.
Look at yo neighbor and say I can please God
This truth received as evidence, becomes faith.
My mind says there is not help for me
Faith is a conviction based on objective evidence.
With faith we are never back into a Corner or trapped where there is no hope.
Anything is possible
Now then because of faith there is no real limitation.
Not by God not even by the devil.
The only thing that can truly limit you is you.
The must take out the limits in our mind because God has placed his limitless spirit in us.
NASB95
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
