so they sent it him.
Then what sign do you do? That we may see and believe you. What work do you perform? Our fathers ate the Manna in the wilderness as it is written he gave them bread from Heaven to eat Jesus then said to them truly truly I say to you it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my father gives you the true bread from heaven for the bread of God. Is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world? They said to him, sir. Give us this bread. Always Jesus said to them. I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me shall not hunger and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen me and do not believe. All that the father gives to me. I'll continue to read will come to me and whoever comes to me. I will never cast out.
Are you thirsty?
here is the truth of the matter
there is
apartness in the church And I can tell and I tremble for you.
Trimble for many of you who come Sunday after Sunday Because you are not thirsty.
You want to be Thursday? I know. But you are not thirsty. And I know you're not thirsty because you walk in late.
And you walk in talkin? You walk in with your heart so far from God. You're not thirsty.
and I tremble for you because
There is the reality. that if you don't thirst for God Then you will go to hell.
God demands that we love him with all of my heart soul mind and Mark says strength in my question is are you thirsty like that?
You Plumbing the depths of God. Are you are you coming to me with a soul? That is absolutely in need of something Beyond where you are. The reality. Is that the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and is the physical church the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an offense to God.
Because we Comin Out Hard tonight with the Lord. Sunday after Sunday from 1 Sunday to the next of God can get five minutes about time. He's gotten a whole lot. Sunday to Sunday of God can get one prayer or one verse of the Bible read. He's gotten an infinite amount from us. Why because I really isn't any thirst. There isn't anything.
And we wonder why there's no move of God in our lives. We wonder why we don't see the hand of God and working us. We wonder why we we are so we're so none desirous of God is because there is no first.
And God is is is is going to move in his church of the in the world and he will move right through Us in right over you if you are not a hungering and thirsting after him. Jesus says In this passage. I'm the bread of life. Whoever comes to me shall never hungry who believes in me shall never thirst. That's what he said. Then if you are hungry God. God provides satisfaction in the Lord Jesus Christ, but but today is I prayed and and as is as George came to me and wanted to change the song I just got breed. Who cares what you look like?
I don't move because you don't want to raise your hang. And I'm not move cuz you don't want to be here. And I don't change anything for nobody. Because we worship the Lord. I'm thirsty, but it's not your praise Natural Pawz and not your presence. I'm thirsty for him.
And I want people that are thirsty for him. You don't have to come if you don't want to know one's dragging you to come. The very thought of God in the very life of God in your life. It's a very blessing of God in your life is not enough for you to get your tail out of bed and get here on time to worship him. That's between you and him put on the news. Cuz I'm a preacher I'm going to be here because God is good to me and I'm hungry for him. And I want you to be hungry form. I want you to be thirsty forum. Well, let's get to the text what creates what does it mean to be thirsty? What does it mean to be thirsty? It means to desire passionately that which comes from God which your soul could not live without
Do you still desire from the depths of your being that which your soul Longs for better? If you did not have it? You could not live first steam.
Is that how you feel about God but you long and did you come this morning saying Lord I need from you. That's my son. I am thirsty for you. You see what it means to be thirsty is it doesn't mean to be a Christian and it doesn't mean to say you love God. It is too long for God with the very depths of your soul. Are you thirsty? Are you thirsty? Are you longing do you need God like you need your next breath. Do you need God like you need your next drink? Do you need them? Like you need your next meal? Are you thirsty like that? I'm not saying do you like him? I'm not even asking you if you love them because you can say it or not. Meaning I'm asking you.
Are you thirsty Psalm? 63 my soul thirsts for you my flesh. Thanks for you as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Are you thirsty like that?
You see here's the reality what it means to be thirsty is to say that God unless you move and unless you satisfy. Absolutely nothing. And the world means absolutely nothing to me. See, this is what it means to be thirsty didn't mean to desire to pant too long to just trade with everything in my being the presence of the Living God. You thirsty? But tell you why you might not be thirsty two reasons you are too full of the world's bread.
Can you come and you're not thirsty and you wonder why you not thirsty and you chalk it up? Cuz I just had a bad week know maybe you are just too full of the world's mess and the word nonsense, maybe the long and you had you went to the world and sex for satisfaction that the world braid that you went to the world for money satisfaction. That's the world Brad you went to relationship satisfaction and you're not hungry. You are too full of crap.

So you coming to church and wonder I'm not lifting my hands because I'm not feeling music. Listen, you're not missing nothing cuz you're not feeling car.
You're not worshiping not because George is because you are thirsty. You fool, you just coming to church out of obligation. I will go to the picnic, but I'm not going to eat cuz I already ate at home, but I got to show my face. You don't need to show your face to go. You don't need to do you need to come hungry thirsty get the world out of yourself. But you might be not hungry because you are spiritually sick because of sin. Listen to me. When you get sick. You lose your appetite.
Are you lose your appetite because you sick. So you not hungry and you're not longing for God not because you had a bad day. You're not longing for God. It's because your sin has made you absolutely shut your appetite.
I don't want. I don't long forgot because I got all that. I need hit all that I need his machine or you sick some of you in here shape and some sicknesses lead to death. It might be a Fred Sanford. This is the big one, but it might lead to that. Maybe you are absent one void something light in God because you are because of your sin. And if you are living in sin, you are sick, and you're not hungry.
Maybe that's what it is. But God created us alone. God created us the thirst and if you're not thirsty, then you are absolutely sick. So when you get sick physically you can't eat don't even want to eat don't even have an appetite to eat can't even smell food. It makes you feel bad because you're messed up on inside. You come to church cambrie the song Can't Even smell the sermon can't even get next to a sink next to the Bible.
Are you thirsty? You seem to be thirsty is too long. For the presence of God do you loan for the presence of God?
To be thirsty is to get up to say Lord. I need I need word. Like I need water. I need a word like I need that coffee. I think I need every single morning, but I need word. Like I need the next breath in my body. I woke up one morning choking. I was choking and I couldn't get my breath and in my heart. I just kept saying Lord. Just let me cough because if I called this life just let me have this a little bit of breath if I cough I can weed all I want but just show me that there's a little bit of life and you need to have to go. You're not longing for the life of me to drop Henry real and where there is no water. If you are in a fool less land because of your sin and your indifference to God, but God only blesses thirsty.
number two What creates the Thirsty soul?
David says in Psalm 63
Oh God, you are my God earnestly. I Seek You My Soul thirsts For You My Flesh Longs for you. Listen to this as in a dry and weary land with there is no water. David wrote Psalm 63 while he was in the wilderness fearing for his life, but when he's in the wilderness it reminded him of his longing for God. Let me tell you something what creates a thirsty soul I call it the Wilderness of want. Sometimes David was in the wilderness in Psalm 63. He was isolated Givens afraid nothing around him was good or beautiful. But in that Wilderness he longed for dog and I'mma tell you something but loving God will put you in an absolute isolated desolated place because he want you to look at everything else in your life. Do you understand? God will expose your sin and you run from your sending you hide from your sin, but the Lord exposes your son and that is him putting you in the wilderness of want because his ideas if I can show Burns how bad he is cracking create a long o God will make you absolutely wearing David says as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Never been that way you ever been so distant from God that you felt dry. And you felt weary you ever been that way you ever been so distant from God that you felt so isolated so alone and you're looking at everything around you trying to get satisfaction. Have you ever been there to see? That is God's Wilderness. She got put you in a place. This is a merciful god. Listen to me. This is a mercy from God you think God is bad or mad because he exposes you're sending I want you to know that the exposure of your sin is the creation of thirst.
But let you see how bad you are you drifted away, but he doesn't trust you and thirsty land where there is no water. So I'm longing for you. David was in the place where this is where you need food and water when you are in a dark place you are in a desolate place. And when you are in a Wilderness don't look around blaming God God is saying I'm creating me and you for me, I could just send you the hell for the reasons. I put you in the wilderness, but I didn't I put you in the wilderness to slap you around a little bit to let you see I'm all we got exposes UPS creating Thurston you when God put you aside and breaks you and all these things crushes you Is creating a longing for you for him? They were walking all this time and they were worried and they were hungry but Jesus didn't been taking care of fish and how many ever loans and feeding 5000 all do you understand God is putting you in a Wilderness show that you might owe you ask God God. Give me a heart for you. You've asked God God. Give me a hunger for you. You guys want to give me a heart for you? God said I'm going to do it, but I'm not going to wake you up in the morning and let you just have a heart you won't appreciate that. I'm going to put you right there in the depth of the Wilderness and make you long for me. If you haven't gotten that lesson, that's why you still rolling in the wilderness. If you ain't got nothing less and that's why you still in the mess that your head God is showing you your sin that you might loan for him. So in those places you need food, but also in that place look at this, you know what it's like to have been satisfied in the past. What creates first? Is that I know what being satisfied feels like she's the reason I'm thirsty and longing it because I know what it felt like when I came off the basketball court in my mouth was parched and I went and got that big old jug of water. Can I drink it and my whole body with know what it's like to be satisfied? Listen to me. God creates Thirst by putting you in the wilderness so that you might long for what you already experienced. David says I'm weary. My soul is thirsty. My friends are spanked as in the dryer and real and this is where there is no water versu in the sanctuary be holding your power and your glory here is what David says I'm longing for God because I've tasted him.
I know what it feels like to get on my knees and have ever happens around me with absolute Delight. I know what it's like to be in the wilderness and begin to trickle little drops of water all the way down in the valley remind me that there is life and I reach and I reach and I tasted it before. David says I'm longing because I've been in the sanctuary and I have been held your glory and that is what keeps me hungry to Hillary. You are not hungry or thirsty watch it because you never had that experience. You don't know what it's like to even have tasted God in the first place. You see thirst comes when I tasted something and I know where to get it satisfied that she'll know. How long for my son never ate Candy, but was the first time he became what it was meant. It was meant in candy and I want candy candy because when he tasted it the first time he knew what it tasted like pretty created a longer. What's really got it? You said you're not thirsty cuz you haven't tasted them or let's just be honest. You have not you're not hungry or thirsty because you haven't drank from the Fountain of God's Delight. You are not hungry because you've never seen the beauty of Jesus Christ. You're not hungry because you never reached up and got just a little drip from Heaven that reminded you that he's glorious. You are not hungry because you don't know him. See, this is the possibility. Let's just stop playing games and stop playing the church Game Stop playing the showing up on Sunday and Wednesday and doing whatever we do that stop playing a game. Are you not thirsty be there? Maybe you don't know when you get on your face and repent God. I need to taste the water. I've never tasted the Waters of life. That's why the last 5 years. I've not been thirsty, but I've been showing up every Sunday and wondering why I don't get what's being preached. I've been lonely. I've been looking for everybody. Everybody's happy in joyful, but I don't have that Lord. Maybe I never knew you. Today we will take him you but Jesus says do this in remembrance of me. How you going to remember somebody you never met? How you going to long for something? You never had? How you go along for Jesus if you never tasted you see if you don't long for the Lord it might be because you're sick Point number one, but it might be because you don't know it. And Only God and you know the reality of that but let's stop playing games. God is saying I want people who hunger and thirst after righteousness Matthew 5 6
That's a promise. He don't need to get all Jazzy to go to church to get to the place of God. I need to taste the water cuz the week has made me parched and I'm not lonely for him, but I need him. I'm going to pursue him until I lay hold of him Isaiah 64 Isaiah said that God is near to those who wait on him to talk to me. That's not who Rouses himself that he's agitated himself. Are you entertaining thirst? Are you looking in the mirror and saying Jamie? I'm not thirsty blood help Damien. And I just use Jamie I can use anybody you have to love God bless the Lord. Oh my soul and all that is within me bless. The Lord has benefits. Are you rousing your soul happy and satisfied with a soul that long for nothing but self and sin. You can't be saved this that's you those who have tasted a loan for Jesus those with no Jesus long for Jesus share. We have periods when I taste buds and I loan you are different but we don't have a lifestyle we long for him and God gets us back to him, but you got to be thirsty. Are you thirsty? Are you thirsty? Because if you're not you're sick, and if you're thirsty, then you don't know the Lord, but I want you to know here today in the middle of this. You can know him right now today. I want you to know right now today that if you don't stop cuz people satisfied with the world going to hell you can deal with that right now you're saying I'm sorry everything in this world above you but not you I want to be satisfied with you you can do that right now. If you're not thirsty.
You get hungry you need food and you get to the Past? Both of those come in the wilderness. Is he the Wilderness of want is God blessing to us, so I don't know about you. But I was in the wilderness about 5 years ago. I don't ever want to be in that Wilderness again, and I'mma tell you something.
I never knew that burns could be Burns. I never knew I could do the things that I did never thought I could. But boy when God got me in that Wilderness it was dark and it was lonely. When I say lonely it would lonely. Nobody could help me. Some people didn't want to help me. I was all by myself and it was dark. But oh my goodness. I'll remember the time when I was there before and I remember David yay, though. I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I won't see him because while everybody left me God you never forsook me even though I'm in this Wilderness. I got a longing for the when I drink from his delight and when I got to that place the Wilderness was still the Wilderness but my longing was deep and my longing was unsatisfied and I pressed through and I pressed through until the dawn broke and I saw the light of Glory. When God put you there it's to make you thirsty. To make you thirsty. Are you thirsty? If you learn from your Wilderness, are you still walking and I'm showing you what God's doing in your Wilderness. He's making you thirsty stop drinking and eating the grapes in the blackberries in the wilderness. Stop drinking that dirty muddy water all around the Wilderness and just keep on walking and Keep On Believing in God going to lead you to a fountain with the Springs of Living Water and when you drink from that water, you will never thirst again. That's my next Point number three. What happens when a thirsty Soul drinks from the Fountain of Christ?

John 7 verse 37 through 39. This is what happens when you drink. praise the Lord On the last day of the feast the great day Jesus stood up and cried out if anyone thirsts let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me as the scripture has said out of his heart will flow rivers of Living Water.
What happens when you drink you get the fullness of God? Jesus says Can you Google me the me as the scripture says when he drinks flow rivers of Living Water that Jesus said he spoke up with regard to the Holy Spirit. Listen to me. When you drink from the river of Godzilla like God breathes you and overwhelmed you and filled with the fullness of all that he is by the president and the power of the Holy Spirit. You wonder why your life is not in control you wonder why there is no Delight from God you wonder why there is no longer in from God because you don't have the rivers of living water flowing out of you. And that Jesus says comes from the Holy Spirit. Here's what I'm saying to you. When you drink from Jesus when you believe in Jesus and begin to drink from the cup of the master, then God will give you the fullness. Jesus will give you the fullness of all that he is but not only that listen to this you will look for nothing more than you long for Christ. Jesus says if a man drinks after me, he will never thirst again here is what Jesus the Same that when you drink from the cup of his Delight watch this watch this. You owe me this last week when you drink from his cup of the light it is not that your passions. Wonder to the world because sometimes we want the world in ways that we shouldn't want the world. But Jimmy's that says when you taste me you will never alone for the word the way you long for me, you will never thirst again above me the issue of the reason we are all out there in the world with the water of the world and the pleasures of the world his because we have not tasted the satisfaction of Jesus Christ. Jesus says if a man thirst after me he drinks with my cup, he will never thirst again. God Jesus the holy spirit will come into you make that in you John 14:24 dwell in you and you will have all that you need. That's why David said ASAP said it's on 73 that. No one else. Nothing in the world that I desire besides you. There is nothing I desire besides you all do I desire some things? Yes, but all of them are compared to your glory. Jesus says this when you drink from me listen to she's from when you drink from me, you will not thirst again. But there's something beautiful about Jesus's water. Then when I get it, I always want more. Jesus isn't it? I won't start for him. But what he will do is give me this flow of Living Water that will always continuously be stranded. Like someone demands his life is by the streams of the Living Water and his Leaf does not wither Jesus ashamed when you drink from me. There will be a fruitfulness in your life because you will always have the ongoing and nourishment of Me by way of the holy spirit in your life and your passion you might be but then the living water and you will say hi, but will not satisfy me what I've got this on-going nourishment cut the strings of the living water in the Holy Spirit, but you don't have it. You don't taste it. You don't even know what I'm talking about because you're not thirsty.
You looking at me like you don't know what I'm talkin about. Shut up. You don't know cuz you don't know Jesus tell me you don't know cuz you're not hungry. Show me you're wondering why am I sweating so much? Why am I why am I doing this? Cuz you not getting satisfied with the Living Water. Jesus says if you come to me everything that you want, I will ultimately satisfy. You won't get thirsty for the world and all of its counterfeit and all of its fake stuff. Not that you won't be tempted. But your heart will yearn for nothing above Jesus Christ. Is this you you thirsty like this. Listen to me beloved. Listen to me. Listen to me.
We're not around a campfire and we not 13 years old. With 13 year olds around the Christian campfire. Do you love Jesus every thirteen-year-old raise their hand by they don't know they just 13 everybody raise your hands or the right thing without 13.
Don't say yes to Thirsty if you not sure you're thirsty.
to be honest about your thirst Because if you ain't sure and you say that you are you not compelled to drink cuz you need to keep faking that you are if you're thirsty. It's going to the Lord and say I'm just come back out of this dry world and I've done a lot of things I shouldn't do and I'm thirsty Lord. And God will give you the Fountain of Living Water. If that's the case number one. pursue Jesus without excuse
Can we get Kim? Can we just get radical right now? What shoe Jesus without excuse. Stop making excuses. But why you not pursuing Jesus? You're not pursuing them cuz you're not thirsty cuz you don't have time. It's not because you all busy and all this other stuff. All that being what it is. You are not pursuing him and you keep making excuses stop. Do you want to have The Thirst satisfied? Same to you, so I will pursue him. And I will make no excuses and when I don't pursue him, I will repent of the sin that made me not pursue it, but I will not make an excuse anymore. You don't have to excuse yourself to me and I don't have to excuse myself to you. The reality is if I'm late or if I'm not there. It's probably because I didn't want to go and if I'm late and maybe because I didn't do what I need to do to get there on time, but there are no excuses in the pursuit of God.
Pursue him without excuse number to pursue him without compromise.
God is looking for obedience. Not people who pursue one day and then not the other day. People who go out hard after Jesus and then the next day that going hard after send can't do that. See if you if you want Jesus to satisfy you. If you want Jesus to satisfy you then you need to stop compromising your soul with the Devil. And you need to wake up on Sunday morning with a heart for Jesus and not compromise with the nonsense to goes on Saturday night Friday night, whatever it was you need to come and pursue without compromise, but God will not allow you to drink from his pure Fountain when your sideways drinking from the dirty Fountain of the world. You got a pursuing without compromise. And when you become obedient in your pursuit of him, then Jesus will satisfy you with these Waters that will never Run Drive and the heart that will never be parked again, then third. pursue Jesus Without Limits
When I said last week, I open with the story of this man stood by the ocean and there was more to the ocean that took his breath away. But then that man became an oceanographer, you know, what an oceanographer is someone who studies the depths of the ocean. You see that man saw the ocean and the vastness of the ocean and it took his breath away and he could have walked away at one time taking his breath away, but that took his breath away so much. He says I got to get deeper into the ocean. I know you met Jesus from time to time and you might even know him, but I want you to know if you tasted him that you should pursue and not have limits. God is infinite. Jesus is infinite or finite the final cannot hold the infinite infinite is boundless find out his limited and if I got the wholeness of God in Me clearly, I can't discover the infinite because he's went out loud. So I pursue Jesus with no limits. I don't put limits on Jesus. I don't put limits on the Holy Spirit are pursuing and I'm looking to see him Jimmy. I'm looking to see his head. I'm looking to see his power. I want to see him know Sandy. I'm looking to see him break people's changed to my Jesus resume with no limits. I don't have time to stop for the rest of my life. There is more drink drink drink.
You're not passionate about him because what I've learned about it makes me want to know more about in the morning about in the morning or don't know about it. So I need to discover more. So you want to be satisfied pursuing pursuing without excuse pursuing without compromise pursued him Without Limits and the Gates of Heaven will open up and the spirit of the Living God fall fresh upon you and fresh upon this church, and so are you today? You thirsty?
