Wild and Free Pt 3

You know, we've been in a series called wild and free. And we've been doing this series for like 4 weeks now and we're learning about first one was talking about how to be wild and free. What does that actually look like in a church culture setting the second thing that we talked about was getting rid of the weights member had people up here with weight vest on one of the ways that most people don't see that we don't really notice very often is called false humility mimics the real thing it looks like it looks right is very Pious and on the outward. It looks like it is the real thing but it's not we talked about that last week this week. We're going to I'm going to share with you guys about maintenance. It's called maintaining. How do you maintain this? How do you maintain being wild and dead as being free and there's a reason why it's called Wild & Free. What is your own person on one is when you're with other people see when you're with other people you're not as wild as you normally would be

How many people know I'm telling the truth. We tried to stay so composed.

That's a clear sign that in your personal. Are you really free? The scripture says that him that trust in men realizing us there but him that trust in the Lord will never be put to shame. I'm reminded of David when heat when they brought the ark back into Jerusalem after it was been out and captured by the Philistines and David begin to dance before the dance. He was been leader of Israel and this dude is dancing in his tunic. His wife looked at him and said, you know what you just wanted to dance to show yourself off to all the other ladies. That was exactly her mentality always going to be people around you that will question your hearts intention on the show you're doing this, but that didn't stop David because his answer. It's something that still shakes us today. He said listen to 5 in this worshipping the Living God by bringing the Ark of the Covenant into the city.

He said we try to do it before in a man died. And this time we we we every seven Paces, we we slaughtered an animal as a sacrifice unto God. How dare you say I want worship God when he's a set me free free in the inside. You're not worried about what people think I'm the outside. That's how you can maintain being wild. This is why cuz you really understand that you're free. You're free from everything. You're not trying to get free you are. So we're going to talk about maintenance. We're still picking up in our core vs. Which is found in Hebrews, 12:1 and 2. It says the great cloud of witnesses. Ask for us. We have all these great witness is encircled us like a cloud everyone that has Kerastase and send so we can easily fall into that will be able to run life marathon race was passing the termination for the path has already been marked before us. The question of opposing test today is how do we how do we maintain be allowed in free? I get it you you may advancing your job position. You means an advance in your education you may advance in your settings. You may take a more prominent place at the table.

What are you going to allow your position or what you have obtained Who You Are. Google why do people live by titles and what we have obtained instead of finding it in the one who says, thanks. And so we live by well, I'm this now so I can't do that. I can't play I can't look in proper. I can't do this and we make these rules.

Are we start let me buy them because other people also put those expectations on us to live by them. And for everyone else's standards and expectations, and we're not living from God's standard and we're God's expecting.

It's so clear that that as a church. Are we living to be an example of who Christ really is are we living to be an example of today's Church culture? The new trending theology that just came out but crazy charismatic thing to do. Are we being a people that is called according to his heart and purpose and that's our focus. It says in order to lose the weight and lower to keep the weight off. If you have to make a change has to be something that you're focused on more when I train people I would give them diets and I put them on diet and they lost weight. They begin the exercise and then guess what happened?

Two years later their backup in more than what they were. Why? How many people ever been on that that type of cycle? I guess I've been there. I get it. Because they used a diet and exercise plan to get a momentary result and it did not make the healthy lifestyle. Choice that's two different things having a habit for a moment is not treating the lifestyle that you will live in God's Not Looking for people that says go to church on a Sunday. I want to have these good Christian has its good Christian Thing by reading my Bible looking for people who has a lifestyle that duplicate.

How do you even maintain that how do you even begin to grasp that and say God? Okay I get with you one. But how does it actually look in my life? How does it actually look right now today where I'm at a high school or maybe you're in college or maybe you're the type that says like I just got married. I'm trying to enjoy my marriage man. Maybe it's best you got children on the way. I'm in this category. Thought we were done with two more. How do I keep God at the focus during the stage where your children are all grown up and they're out of the house? And you're like well retirement season. I did all that when I was young.

How do you keep God at the center piece in focus of your life? How do you keep the furnace alive? How do you keep the fire of God alive in you don't people actually look at you and say you got

I'm not just talking about all believers. I'm talking about people in the church around you to say I want my life to look like yours when I hit where you're at. I'm so encouraged by your walk. I'm so encouraged by the way you love God. It does something to me to see you. It just moves me pushes me. It's Rouse me on until the infection and him. Which means completeness?

Jesus gave us a story. It's found in Matthew 12 chapter the 43rd and the 45th to the 45th verse and it reads like this. Demons, when a demon is cast out of a person it roams around a dry region looking for a place to rest, but never finds it then it says I'll return to the house I moved out and so it goes back only to find that the house is vacant warm and ready to be moved back in. So it goes looking for seven other demons more evil than itself and they all enter together to live there. Then the person's condition becomes much worse than it was at the beginning. This is drai's what will high also happen to people this evil generation. That's pause.

That sounds heavy done it. Jesus said he will Spirit leave someone and they don't feel their house. They don't fill their house with the right food. They don't fill their house with the right things to have in it. Then that Spirit comes back and when it comes back it begins to take even more of a whole because it says do this if I'm doing they kicked me out once and I was by myself. So now I'm a grab seven more of my buddies and we're going to really move and we're going to have a heck of a Time.

And that's what they do and then you found out the thing that you were struggling with becomes even more of a struggle. It seems like you're more entangled in it.

The bad habits really want to tell someone off but you button your lip. Because you don't want to be seen as that person that told that person off. So you do the Christian thing to do which is false humility you button your lip and go out but in your heart you're calling them everything that's in the book and I'm not talking about the Bible.

What what's going on here? I've been the more and more you you view walk-in this I don't want to do this. I know it's wrong, but I keep on doing it. How can I how can I say free? My question is what are you filling your house with? We're known as the Temple of the Holy Spirit, but what are you feeling in your house got told me that she said look son, you're a resting place for me to look at that like that says I want to live in you because he wants to have rest in you. Wants you to find your rest in him and him to find his rest in you.

Are you off this pitiable to the spirit? What are you a spittle spittle to and also what are you hostile to? You know, what house is they have the security system. They got a camera that watches think we got a lot to try to break in the next minute, you know police are there. Tell me we got a report on our dispatch that someone tried to break in. None of the kids messed up the doorknob.

What are you doing to fill your house and keep it guarded?

Too bad habit bad hangers Batman tablet, he's bad spirits do no longer find Residence there.

How many people ever been through Cycles? I've been through them. We were just struggling you trying to get free next minute. You know, you're free and then 4 Weeks Later your back in it do this no more. I really don't care three months later your back in it.

You're not free. I'm telling you the truth. That's called being stuck in a cycle. When you're stuck in a cycle, it kind of makes you psycho.

The truth is who the son sets free is free indeed. You must feel your house. You must begin to say God. Listen. I'm going to begin to do things different and faith and I'm going to invite you in here to help me do it in faith because I can't do it in myself. But if I rely on you, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. But you can say but you don't understand brother. I'm weak and it's his grace is sufficient for in my weakness. His strength is made. complete he said we're getting rid of excuses.

I got into the middle of this day to fill your house and I would tell people what do you put in your freezer? What's in your frigerator? They said, you know, I got Twinkies I got Ho Hos and I just bought those cheese noodles. And I see that you're going to work out with you're going to die. You know, like what you don't understand dude. I love my whole house. Okay, I get that you love your hose. I get it. I understand but what happens if we switch it out for you don't know no. Ever since I was a little boy mommy used to put them in my school lunch and every day, I would even ho ho it was the best part about school lunch and I say I get what you're saying, but it's time to let that go if you plan to get to where you want to go. A lot of times we have dreams, but we don't have goals. Well good wishful thinking wow. This would be nice. That would be nice. But what are you doing to get there? The Bible is full of our potential in Christ. It's a book about our potential and Christ and tells us what we can live like what we can look like how we can actually Christian Living. But it takes effort. It doesn't just want they magically appear.

Well, I'm telling you right now. It's torque didn't drop it off.

I think sometimes we forgetting our lives that that's the way it works with God. It doesn't just

sometimes God doesn't do the there you go. But as long as God keeps giving you a fish and he never quits to the fish. You'll always be in this place of infancy.

If he wants them he wants to find Partners who will partner with him if you want. We're so busy partnering with what's comfortable and convenient in our life for this moment for whatever place you living at whatever age category you in and then we do know we no longer hungry.

We allow the fire to go out and then we've been we we get we going to places take place in. Talk people try to not just in this way people try to nut just in this way.

And you find yourself being in this tug-of-war and then you're saying. I don't know why the devil is really beat me up and it's not even the devil you're fighting against God.

How many people ever been there? I have

I've been there. You know me and got some one day we sat down and table put my arm on the table. I just come on. I got you this time.

You know I lost.

He didn't even move. He didn't throw my I got tired. He's okay. He's a are you going my car? That's what it means. It's hard to kick against the prick. It's hard for you to wrestle against God against him. We don't even wrestle with each other. But we make each other the problem. It's only wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities against powers of darkness and we make people the problem we make church people the problem.

Preaching truth, but I feel it. We make church people the problem and they're not the problem. Maybe if you would do more praying and less complaining better results. I'm being honest.

Where Jesus at my house talking about the house still filling your house with good thing. Jesus said my house will be called a House of Prayer.

Are you worshiping and interceding are you paying just Lord? Just let me go on Into Your Glory that's good enough for me. Give me that old time religion. I want a relationship that's alive and thriving.

You know, I have a have a friend. He's older gentleman and this dude is cookie, man. And I love them because every time I sit down and talk with him, he challenges me. He's like, you know, yeah, that's good. But where's your heart at buddy? What were you doing with that? And I'm like, oh boy. I said well and I love the fact because if I'm in the middle of trying to complain like new.

Take your laundry list away and make it a prayer list.

Because the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Are we have church that wants to pray into a God one. Are we at church that just wants to meet together smile together go our separate ways. Don't really get intimate one another don't really discover. What's going on. Really serious? We're just doing what's convenient, but when it becomes less convenient where we're going to cuz we're no longer convenient anymore.

I'm being honest guy. You know, I love having family because family sometimes is not a convenience. Family sometimes can be an inconvenience. But you know the beautiful thing about that is that we're family and I love you. I don't care how much you inconvenience me. I have family members that when I see him, I'm like Who are my relatives? I'm like. Come on, man. Get your head on straight.

I still love her. I love them. I want the best for him. How you say wild is not being how do you say wild is not fearing man. You got to stop fearing what people are going to say what people are going to think what people people are going to act. Get the coming to this place of the fear of the Lord. I believe When We Fear God over man will never be afraid of any man ever. We saved these statements fear God and not man.

But we're so concerned about what this person's thinking with that person's going to say how they're going to react that we won't even step in faith because we're scared of how it's going to be received. In Scripture, it says that he came to his own and his own received him not but to those who have received him. He gave them Authority do to miss exousia to become sons of God to maintain your son shipping him. You have to learn to walk in the fear of the Lord and not in the fear of mad because then you'll be coming balance. There are two kings in the Bible that demonstrated. This is the best every time when Saul was going to be anointed king over Israel.

He was hiding.

The prophet came against all the words that say don't until I get back. Sultans of sacrificing and he's like, why did you do this off because I was afraid of what the people would say. He's like, okay. Hey, make sure you kill every team that's in this area because he's like so why didn't you do this? Because I thought we would save the best for the people.

And the prophet said to him Samuel was his name cuz he's like why did you transfer the Lord and he's like for this reason the Lord will rip the kingdom out of your hand and saw held on to Samuels cloak and ripped in recent just like you did that. So the kingdom will be ripped from you and given to another who's much more and better than you.

And this is where the story of King David comes in at who is Dad didn't even acknowledge you was in the back of the field. And when the the Samuel came to the house of Jesse, he's like, hey, I'm looking for the Lord told me to come to your house because the next king of Israel is here. Jesse brings out all of his sons except for David. He's like, it's not that one. Come on. He's too handsome is he's the tallest he's the strongest. He's the smartest. Nope. It's not that one. Hi, this is one more. He's out in the back.

I make a joke with my family when I'm with my the Amish part of my family. I'm making jokes and I'm the black sheep of the family.

I love it. I love that. We should be real people honest and love each other in our in our with all of our differences and all of our it's beautiful. It's a smorgasbord. It's like a rainbow. I wonder if that's over God's throne. I wonder if God likes variety. So you bring David and that's the one you're like not him. Do you know what he does? Listen? You don't get it? He's got the hard. He's out there Shepherd eating sheep and stuff. We find them back to her singing and acting crazy with the sheep and dancing with them.

Doesn't care that one. That's the one I want the one that's not worried about his family's opinions anymore. The one that learns how to worship me when no one was around. The one that's hearts are fully mine. Cuz God said David is a man after my own heart.

But it started not in a setting with people accepting you started with being rejected and finding the acceptance of the Lord and when you're accepted by him, it doesn't matter who reject you anymore because you see that you've been accepted in the Beloved. You see that you've been your call to something so much more greater than a momentary comfort.

It's it's proven as a study children. How do you get people who know the problem with with with people and send is momentary gratification study with children? When you're raising your children do this with them if they ask for like a snack or something sweet. You tell him I'll give it to you right now, or if you wait for two hours. I'll give you two of them. Which one do you want to do? How they found out the children that only want it right now in the moment. They never learned how not to feed into momentary gratification. But the ones you learn to say, I'll wait 2 hours or more successful. They become more dominant in the business round the educational process for more because they learned not to just satisfy the momentary feeling so I get through this moment.

Esau was Jacob's brother. He comes in from honey and hungry and in Jacob was such a deceiver, but he was very witty, too. And he says that his brother comes and says dude, I'm starving. I'm going to die feed me and Jacob said sell me your Birthright. And what does he do? I don't care about the birthright. What does that to me? Give me the food and he gives him the food. He now has his Birthright, which means it's inherited his Blessing cuz it's always the first born the Elvis. I've been through that day on Esau despised everything that his father had. Because he never learned not to give in to a momentary need to satisfy. He never learned how to occupy his mind on better things in a greater Covenant. He was looking for what was present in the moment instead of what's Pleasant for eternity. Let me tell you something today if you're living your life or just what's easy in the moment. You're not going to build up a character that learns to endure through hardship. Every time conflict comes run every time things going favorable. You'll run David was a man who says I see a giant and I'm going to find him and kill him. He didn't run from the biggest come from the time. He ran straight into it headfirst. I think God's going to deliver us. Let me ask you something your life. Are you settling for what's momentary? Are you settling for what just feels good for a moment, aren't you actually looking to God to be your reward because the joy set before you see if we don't get that we were his joy. We was we are the joy of the Lord. Just say that very strong we us. We are the joy of the Lord. We give him great joy and pleasure. And in response to that we begin to produce a life. We see that he is our joy and in him. We find our pleasure sounds like a song that there are many Pleasures in his hand.

The joy of the Lord becomes our strength week. He becomes our strength our joy our confidence.

Are you settling for what's momentary? Are you selling just for that Duchess satisfies me right now? Because let me tell you. After a while that won't satisfy then you'll need something else. Then you need something else. That's how this cycle starts. It always starts that way. I'm telling you the truth. That's how it goes. And then been the right place to be satisfied that becomes. Oh I did that church thing been there done that got the T-shirt didn't work.

I'm being real Matt. Alesso we make out Christianity because you've been there you done that you just thought it was a momentary thing, but you haven't fell in love with God yet. Tell me you're wondering why somebody here and say hey, I don't even know if God exists.

Some reason why I had this experience without a long time ago, and that was it. Let me share this with you. God does not have mood swings. you might But God doesn't. Some of us who are golf courses, but I have a golf swing.

God does not have mood swings. He's not changing his mind about you. He still sees your purpose and Destiny. He still loves you the same yesterday today and forever more. He still has a plan for you. He hasn't lost sight of you. Have you lost sight of him? Because when you lose sight of God. You lose sight of his plan for you. And then you'll be trying to do things in your own strength Like A Man Named Abraham who instead of waiting on the promise of God through for a child tried to accomplish it in his own stress and ended up having the East end up having an Ishmael. Who ended up becoming a thorn and his wife side?

Because he hit it the voice for a momentary pleasure. And try to accomplish the plan of God in its own strength. Instead of waiting on the Lord because the scripture says for them that wait upon the Lord they shall renew their strength. They shall Mount up with wings of eagles. They shall run and not grow weary. They shall walk and not faint.

Are you willing to wait on God today?

Who's leading you who's guiding you are you really wild? Are you still wild are you in the wilderness?

Are you free or are you Tamed? Here's a question. I want to leave you with for your own personal walk with God. I want you to ask God. What which one are you? Are you a Saul are you a David?

She's a real questions guys that will work complete when we're confronted with our character. Which one are we? Are we men or are we mice?

Listen, I want to share this. For we leave if anyone needs prayer. Then when you prayer anyone need a healing in their body, does anyone need a touch from God?

So little bit of flutters going on in my chest a little anxiousness going on while you're preaching. I think that's. Trying to get my attention. Maybe the type. If you want a relationship with God out there. Just put your hand in the air.

Do you know why I didn't ask people to buy their heads because we're breaking off fear.

A lot of times when we tell people about to hear it's cuz we have so much shame in it. We're so ashamed to say I need help. You know, I'm not ashamed with my car breaks down to call AAA. It's an unpleasant thing for the moment, but I'm not ashamed to call. They helped me get where I'm going. That's what the church is here to do. We're here the spur one another one. They helped you get where you need to go. So that's you wanted wants. Our relationship was got him into a stomach stretch you a little bit cuz this what scripture says. If you're ashamed of me before men, I'll be ashamed of you before my father and the angels in heaven. But if you're not a shame of me before men, I will not be ashamed of you before my father and the angels in heaven. And that's you want a relationship with God come to the front. break off beer break it off.

Hey, bud. Oh, yeah, this is that dude. You guys made me tell him last but two Sundays ago about a guy. Can I share this? This is that guy that we smoked weed on the 4th of July and then had to take a drug test the next day and came out clean because of Prayer.

Funny feeling in their body. For the hands that I see one here and there so come on up here healing healing. So we're doing this. We're going to rent a prey.

Encouragement, whatever God puts in your heart you pray.

Who in this section are believers? Everyone is section believers. Can we come together and pray for him? Can we move around him right now in vicinity and pray? Whatever God puts in your heart to say I want you to just say it to him, but come on up here and pray for him. He needs encouragement.
