Short prayers

Oh Lord, all Your people this day do approach You will praise in our hearts and we come before You rejoicing and remembering that without our aid You did form us and that You take us into to care for and feed as Your sheep that belong to You. We start this time of prayer together to just bless Your Name because You are good and Your mercy towards those in Christ endures forever, a truth that firmly stands and we stand together under it!

Lord may our best friends be here. May our children be nurtured and saved here. Lord, through our times of worship and study of scripture may we all encounter You, the living God, and be equipped for life and service to Your Kingdom here.

Oh Father, as Jesus was sent into this world to seek and to save that which is lost, may our mission be to be on mission with You and what You’re doing in this world. Prepare us to invest our lives into the lives of non-disciples who don’t yet know the blessing of living w/in communion of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Lord we ask and pray that You would let Your great love be revealed to us, in all its sweet influences and that our response would be a greater and deeper love to Thee Lord! May our love for You be fervent.

Lord I pray for our church to be revived and refreshed! Lord remember us favorably and visit us graciously.

Lord, Your word reveals to us the nature of our sin and that it can seize an opportunity, even through Your commandment and deceive us and can kill us. So Lord God, in our fight against sin, let us not think we can kill sin with a few, easy, or gentle strokes. Lord, like fighting a serpent, if once we strike its head, let us not stop those repeated blows until that serpent dies, or we’d regret we ever did quarrel with the serpent. O Father, in the same way, grant to us grace to deal with and constantly pursue our sin until it dies and we overcome and prevail, thus bringing You glory! Lord, let us not make the fatal mistake if we suppose this work will permit any staying off or intermission!

Father, let us stand on guard this day knowing that the first and great work of Your followers lies within our hearts! There is the place where You dwell in Your people by Your Spirit. And there is the place where satan and sin reign in the ungodly. Lord, You teach us that this is the root of good and evil and that our mouths and life are but the fruits and expressions of what or Whom dwells inside! O Father, purify our hearts oh God!
