Jealousy Breeds Division

The bible says that the Love of money is the root of all evil, well it also says that the presence of jealousy is the root of all strife.
James 3:14–16 AV
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
Envy or jealousy in the heart is like throwing a brick into a running wahsing machione. Everythings going fine and smooth but when jealousy comes in - all hell breakjs loose - literally.
Proverbs 14:30 AV
30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
Envy is not based in love - you do not envy the ones you love.
1 Corinthians 13:4 AV
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
In other words, if you love someone, you are glad when they are blessed - you are glad for them - not jelous of them. Remember this...
Jelousy is a relationship breaker and home wrecker.
Proverbs 27:4 AV
4 Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?
Make no bones about it church - jealousy is not of God.
Galatians 5:19–21 AV
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

The Stress of Envy

envy or jealousy is devestation to a person. It kills your spiritual life because you get consumed by covetness- you asre jealous of what somewone else had and you want it.
It kills your relationships - there is nothing worse than a jelous person - evan as kids we learn: jealousy makes you nasty.
It kills your own peace, you cannot be jealous and at peace, they dont fit together. You are eaither content or envious, never both.
Proverbs 14:30 AV
30 A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
Envy eats you from the inside. You becomes to unhappy with your blessings that you stop seeing them, enjoying them, thanking God for them.
Comparing yourself or your life to others is utter foolishness.
If you compare your life to people who have less than you you can become concited.
if you compare your life to people who appear to have more than you you can becomes bitter.
No wonder God tells us:
2 Corinthians 10:12 AV
12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
You have a life.
God has given you talents and oppertunities. He has given you certan blessings as well. Your life has had its share of hardtrimes and good times. But your pirmary concern is:
2 Timothy 2:15 AV
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
THYSELF.

When you become the Envy of others

TRhgis is a very real and serious danger.
Proverbs 6:34 AV
34 For jealousy is the rage of a man: therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.
And let us not forget that it was jealosy that causes Josephes brothers to sell him into slavery.
Acts 7:9 AV
9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,
and it was out of envy that the pharasies killed Jesus.
Matthew 27:18 AV
18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.
It was out of envy that paul was arrested and thrown in prison.
Acts 13:45 AV
45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
The point is clear: Being the object of envy is dangerous.

When bitter people attck you

Lets read a fascanating story
2 sam 6 12-
2 Samuel 6:12–20 AV
12 And it was told king David, saying, The LORD hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness. 13 And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings. 14 And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. 15 So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. 16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. 17 And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD. 18 And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts. 19 And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house. 20 Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!

Note Mikels attutude:
nothing good happening in Mikel’s life - but wonderful things are happening in david life.
sarcasum - meant to make you bad or foolish for being happy.
Rumors and lies - let me tell you something about rumors and lies.
Proverbs 18:17 ESV
17 The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.
Untill you have listen to both sides of every story you are believing a biased, often false, overly dramatisec tale, spun to make them look good and the other look bad.
What is Davids Response?
rumors and lies
2 sam
2 Samuel 6:21–23 AV
21 And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD. 22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour. 23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.
looks wise still witness questions
1: God chose me, God blessed me, God called me - if you have a probelm take it up with God. But i will not be ashambed or embarrised or put out because you are bitter and i am blessed.
2: If you think this will put me donet, you are wrong - I will actually worship him loader, praise him greater - if you think its bad no, its about to get for your jelouys Spirit.
3: God vindicates David - he had no children - IE: This speaks about a persons fruitfulness - jealious people are unfruitful, they have no fruit of the spirit.
Think about it: Think of a jelous, envious, bitter person - Do they manifest:
Galatians 5:22–23 AV
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
No they dont, and if you are jealouys - niether will you.
