14 You are the world’s light—a city on a hill, glowing in the night for all to see. 15 Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.
We want to bring this down to a personal level. People think that only the influencers should be trying to bring change… All of you influence others.
You don’t understand how god has ordained your life and put you where you are for a reason.

16 One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a slave girl who had a spirit that enabled her to tell the future. She earned a lot of money for her masters by telling fortunes. 17 She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.” 18 This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her. 19 Her masters’ hopes of wealth were now shattered, so they grabbed Paul and Silas and dragged them before the authorities at the marketplace. 20 “The whole city is in an uproar because of these Jews!” they shouted to the city officials. 21 “They are teaching customs that are illegal for us Romans to practice.” 22 A mob quickly formed against Paul and Silas, and the city officials ordered them stripped and beaten with wooden rods. 23 They were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn’t escape. 24 So the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks. 25 Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. 26 Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off! 27 The jailer woke up to see the prison doors wide open. He assumed the prisoners had escaped, so he drew his sword to kill himself. 28 But Paul shouted to him, “Stop! Don’t kill yourself! We are all here!” 29 The jailer called for lights and ran to the dungeon and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”

If you become saved, you will influence those under your sphere of influence to give their lives to the Lord.
Everyone of us has an OIKOS … a sphere of influence.

God put you in the place you are for a purpose. Your neighbors are there for a purpose. You have the co-workers for a reason.
Psy say we have about 12 people in this category. spend 1 hour or more with these/week. Studies say the average father spends 7 minutes per day with his kids… not even in his sphere of influence.
19 But Jesus would not let him. He said, “Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you and how he has had mercy on you.”
He didn’t say for you to go tell them what they need to do. He said go tell them what God has done for you...
My Place
My Place
God put you here you are for a purpose. It’s not an accident.
26 From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries.
He has you in the job / School / carpool / playground group / for a reason.
17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.
I want to see God’s Favor in your life. God established his work in you where you are.
Your vocation is your ministry location.

Everyone of you have certain passions. activities / ministries / parts of the world…
These are things you are drawn to… Fuel the Future / Kids Ministry / Nursing Home / Youth / Technology / Outreach … These teams can become groups that meet regularly to study and prepare for the ministry.
4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.
He doesn’t give you want you want… he gives you the want. He gives you the desires you have.

You can change your world through…
1. Our manner.

Mama always said mind your manners.
Our manner can draw people to Jesus or cause them to not want anything to do with Jesus.
If you want to grow, launch a small group… prepare… recruit… When you do this, you realize that others depend on your manner…
5 Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.
People are watching.
11 Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before. 12 Then people who are not believers will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others.
The motivation is for people to notice and respect the difference between us and others…
Book - To Change the World… The way you change the world is through faithful presence.
Dentist - put positive faith building magazines in his waiting room
Car Dealer - uses his profits to do scholarships for his workers kids…
When you have Christmas parties in the coming months… share what God is doing in your life.
Ask God to change you to be the kind of person that people see Jesus in.
You need to recognize…

Today, god will cause your path and one other person’s paths to intersect with each other. Recognize those and realize it’s not coincidence… God orchestrated it.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.
Steps of world changer… are ordered by the Lord.

When you do this, every day become more fun. The devil will begin to go “oh No, he’s leaving the house...”

Not turn or burn… our job is not put beat people up…
Tired of the church being know for what we are against… We have the message of life.
15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.
Be able to share your life and conversion in 3 minutes or less. Be prepared.
17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
Here’s our message. You don’t have to pay for your own sins… they have been paid for.
