The Real/The Rub

Have you ever been in a situation that you had to have help with or you couldn’t have done it? Or have you ever had to rely on someone else’s help for something?

The Read

Moses and the Israelites had just seen a powerful work of God by escaping from Egypt. Moses know what is needed in this battle.

Then
Israel Defeats Amalek
8 Then Amalek came and fought with Israel at Rephidim.
9 So Moses said to Joshua, “Choose for us men, and go out and fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.” 10 So Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Amalek, while Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
11 Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed.
12 But Moses’ hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
13 And Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword.
You are all in a battle. Especially going back into the school year.
Sometimes you’re going to be like Aaron and Hur and you to help hold your friends up in the life of praise to Jesus.
Sometimes you will be like Moses and need the help of others.

How do we do this?

We strengthen and encourage one another?

If Your Brother Sins Against You
15 “If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses.

16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

19 My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, 20 let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
