My Time Is Near

Jesus Knowing that
He is going to be the sacrifice of the world
take on himself, the sins of the world
Going to fulfill Isaiah 53
the Sanhedrin are trying to kill him
not wanting it done during the passover
Judas has agreed to betray Him
Satan is attacking with full force
He thinks that if Jesus dies, then he will win
A storm is brewing all around
there is very Dark clouds on the horizon
Jesus wants one last time to have a quiet meal with His men
V 17 - 19
Jesus has some business to take care of first
V 20 - 25

Breaking of the Bread

as they were eating the passover
Jesus took the bread and started the traditional blessing...

“Praise be to you, Yahweh, our God, King of the world, who brings forth bread from the earth

this is where the tradition ended.
Pray- tear of a chunk and eat
Take eat is what Jesus said
Wait, What?
this is your what?
we have been doing this feast for centuries the same way
Under the Old Covenant
The Law, obey, rituals, feasts, sacrifices,
God through Moses Gave the law, and implemented it
Exodus 24:8 AV
And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.
this is my Body
this is the new tradition, the new remembrance
you are going to do it this way because of love
you are going to do this because of appreciation
you are going to remember My body and what happened
Song 159 Alas! And did my savior bleed

And He Took The Cup

Gave thanks, passed it around
the Blood of the New Covenant
The old Covenant the Blood covered the sin
sprinkled on the atonement cover
A covering looking forward to the day when the sin will be taken away
V 28 the remission/ forgiveness of sins
Romans 3:23–25 AV
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
not counting the trespass against us
The men still did not fully understand
How is Jesus blood, The Messiah, The King of the planet
he surely wont be sacrificed
Peter will defend Him to the death
we marvel at that today
God, became a baby, to live as a human
so He can be a sacrifice, a lamb, take the punishment of all the sin of the whole world.
Why?
John 3:16 AV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God loves you so much
Song 264 Now I belong to Jesus

A Quiet place

Jesus wanted a quiet place in the midst of all of the Crucifixion week
we also need a quiet time with Jesus as we come together to remember
remember who we are
remember the Body (of Christ)
come together as a family
the hustle and bustle of the world
the persecution, the world hating Christ, us
remember the Hope that is in us
we have read the end of the book Jesus wins..
1 Corinthians 11:26 AV
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
Hymn 74 Blest be the tie that binds
