How many are you here today will admit they are ashamed of the Gospel?
How many of you wound say they are ashamed of their Salvation?
I have a very serious question to start us off with this morning.
Why is Gospel Preaching, Bible Believing Churches on a decline here in the United States of America these days?
Could it be because True Gospel Preaching Bible Believing Churches are competing with so many other outside influences and activites?
Could it be because TV and Film always portrays True Gospel preaching, Bible believing Churches as sticks in the mud, holy rollers, religious fanatics?
Could it be because Preachers are not preaching the Word of God?
They have changed their Sword from the King James 1611 Bible to a perverted version like the NIV, EVC, NASB.
They no longer preach about Hell and Damnation.
They no longer preach about the Blood, and Redemption.
They No longer preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Could it be because we live in a society that try to Justify Sin.
Do as you please without any regards or cares of the consequences of that sin?
If there is a God, He would never send a person to Hell, because His is Love?
Could it be because the cost of Living is so high, that so much focus has to be on making a living and making money is more important?
I’m sure it could be any of those answers, and so many more
Could it be because some churches don’t have the financial resources as other churches?
Could it be because other churches have better preachers than other churches?
Could it be because some churches have a better location than other churches?
Could it be because some church building are more fancier than others and perform concerts, and disco shows each Sunday?
Could it be that some churches just has better programs and ministries than others.
I’m sure it could be any of those answers.
Laziness
Lack of Interest.
Being Ashamed of the Gospel.
Free Will or Choice.
Your Do Not Know Jesus Christ As Your Personal Savior.
I’m going to ask you another series of questions, but before I do I want you to bow your head and close your eyes, no one looking around.
I’m a Born Again Christian, I know Jesus Christ as my Personal Savior?
I want to see lost people saved?
I want to see this church grow?
I don’t know what the problem is?
I want to fix the problem?
Before I give you the basic answer to the question.
I want you to understand that I am not standing before you as someone who has it all worked out, someone who lives a perfect life.
Folks there are even some you that has a better grasp on this than me.
I’m standing before you as a man who has surrendered his life to God, to be a messenger on God’s behalf to His people.
I’m standing here as a man who loves each and everyone of you and wants to see you grow into the man, woman, or children God wants you to be.
What
I. What is Church?
Is Church a place we come to meet, greet , and eat?
Is Church something we do?
Is Church a place we go?
No, Church is the people of God.
(Christians) coming together to do the will of God.
To worship our Heavenly Father,
To lift each other up.
To prayer for each other
To grow spiritually.
Then if there is a problem with the Church
It is with people,
It’s a People Problem.
Not a money problem,
Not a preacher problem,
Not a program problem,
A location problem.
II.
The Real Problem!
Laziness - The Bible describes three types of Christians
Three Types of Christians
:
Hot Christian - One who is on fire for God.
A person that is faithful to His Church and Ministries.
A Witness for the Lord.
Not Ashamed of the Gospel.
Reads there Bible Daily.
Prayer Life.
Cold Christian - One who does nothing for God.
They rarely come to church.
Barely participates in church activities.
Satisfied with being a Pew Sitter.
Lukewarm Christian - The Worse Kind.
They are fence Straddlers.
Also so they are Stumbling Block.
They play church.
They act like Christians at church or around other Christian, but they associate with the world.
Revelation 3:
They make God Sick to His stomach.
What kind of Christian are you?
Preoccupied with the World.
We are not to be conformed to the things of this world.
It’s easy to get distracted from the things of God in this world.
And it all comes from the Devil

We should focus on the things of God.
His Son
His Church
His Word
His Works
The Lost
His People
If you are truly saved, you became a new creature in Christ!
