Hang In There! God’s Word is True!
Hang In There! God’s Word is True!
So Last week we left off our examination of this anointed man. David in chapter 27 with verse 1. It was an intimate look at how doubt can take advantage of even the best of us. One of the awesome things about the text as we heard last week is that God allowed us to eavesdrop in a personal conversation David was having with himself. We came away understanding that our doubt does not change God’s promise but it does cause us to believe wrong thinking. So this week we want to continue with that theme, Hang in There! God’s word is True!
David as a result of wrong thinking believed wrong truths and engaged intentions. By doing so, he took his family and the men following him and their families into the Philistine territory and there set up camp with the permission of the King. While he is there he now has to provide for his family and for those that will follow him. When you do what God did not tell you to do, it is surprising what you will accept as right to do. When you determine to leave the precincts of the people of God to set up camp among the enemies of God’s people, you will be surprised at what you determine is ok to do. David, was protected and provide for in Israel while he was God told him to be, but now that he decides to go into Philistine, he has to fend for himself.
