Don't Be Like a Dog

Dr. Robert E. Speer tells of a boy raised in a Christian home where family worship and grace at meals were common. On being invited to a pal's home for dinner where everyone hungrily pitched in and ate, the young man looked up and said, "Around our house we always give thanks and then eat. But you are like my dog. He just eats!"
