God is concerned about our bodies and our health (1 Cor. 6:19,20;1 Thess. 5:23)

I.                   What is the Cause of Sickness? [Sin]

Sickness: absent from Eden (Gen. 1:31), the Millennial Kingdom (Isa. 33:24), and in heaven (Rev. 21:4)

A.    Satan Causes Sickness (Job 2:6,7;Lk. 13:16)

B.     God Causes Sickness

1.      To Condemn Sinners (Acts 12:23)

2.      To Chastise Saints (1 Cor. 11:30;James 5:15)

II.                What is the Cure for Sickness? [Jehovah Rapha]

          All healing comes from God. (Psa. 103:3)  It is not always God’s will to heal. (2 Cor. 12:7-9)

                        We can often avoid illness by obeying God’s commandments. (v. 26a)

A.  God Heals by Medicine (Isa. 38:21,22;2 Chron. 16:12;1 Tim. 5:23;Rev. 22:2)

            B.  God Heals by Miracle (Mk. 5:26-29)

                        Prayer is the best dawa!
