Mission Strategy : Worship
Hook:
Here’s a Problem: This whole mission and strategy is impossible.
How are we supposed to move forward?
How did they do it in the early church?
It’s not just all about the mission work, isn’t loving God and being His also valuable?
That is Loving God.
Loving Others.
Worship at the same time.
That is Loving God.
Loving Others.
Loving Others.
We’re talking about how we endeavour to fulfill this Mission and even utilize this strategy that Curt presented.
It’s such a big task.
We Engage people to Know Jesus
We Engage people to Know Jesus
We Empower people to Love Jesus
We Equip people to Obey Jesus
We Encourage people to Trust Jesus
I’ve wondered: Who is this mission about?
What am I trying to create, certainly not a clone of me, but this is what I know all to well, how I think, how I would choose if I were you, what I would say… but I’m not aiming for a duplication of me, I’m aiming for a passionate follower of Jesus.
You have been Engaged to Know Jesus
What are we supposed to be doing?
You have been Engaged to Know Jesus
You have been Empowered to Love Jesus
You have been Equipped to Obey Jesus
You have been Encouraged to Trust Jesus.
Make disciples as you go

We must

Introduction:
In Acts the first church gathered daily and they were devoted to 4 things.
Prayer, the Apostles teaching, the breaking of bread, and Fellowship
They were experiencing true community in Christ.
True unity, perhaps the kind of unity we’ve been praying for for our congregation.
And yet, God wanted something to happen.
He wanted them to go out.
Indeed they had recieved the Holy Spirit, they were supposed to wait till then,
Acts 2 then they were supposed to go out.
then they were supposed to go out.
The Body
But they didn’t.
It wasn’t till the stoning of Stephen that the church went.
and The Proper use of Tongues
But they didn’t.
It wasn’t till the stoning of Stephen that the church went.
What I’m presenting today, is that God not only gives us the mission and lays out the strategy he has also given us the power we need to move out and the unction we need to move out.

New Creation , New Family , New Hearts
Transferred us into His Kingdom

Transferred us into His Kingdom
Transferred us into His Kingdom

What are Spiritual Gifts?
The concept remains the same: distinctive, divinely originated endowments to serve the Triune God for the common benefit of his people, the church (; ; ; )
Spiritual Gifts are discussed in ; ; ;
How are we supposed to use them?
The gifts are given you to serve the body
The gifts are given you to serve the body
How are we supposed to know which gift we have been given?
How are we supposed to use them?
How are we supposed to know which gift we have been given?
Well,
Among other things: It’s the way you find yourself being fruitful in the body
Romans 12:3-13
What does this look like in real life?
If I know what my gift is does that mean I should change my job, or my ministry role in the church?
Your gift might affect the ministries you are drawn to, but just because you don’t have the gift of teaching doesn’t get you off the hook for other verses in the Bible that tell us to teach.
Eph 6
Or just because you don’t have the gift of giving… doesn’t mean you don’t have to be generous and give
I’ve thought that the gift will display itself, when I’m serving Jesus, loving Him, loving People- He will use that gift to minister to people, when I just feel like I’m just being me, being the me Jesus made me.
In other words, I don’t try to put on something new, change my countenance, take a deep breath and try to connect to that spiritual gifting.
But I’ve learned to appreciate that it’s there.
What does someone who’s spiritual gift is faith do when they are serving on a worship team?
What does someone who’s Spiritual gift is encouragement do when they are serving in Crossroads Kids?
The Gift isn’t the gift of worship leading, or the gift of Kids ministry, or Cafe’ worker.
At the Church of Crossroads an Cypress we have a few specific Investments that we have focused on.
The are like what you have commonly heard as an entities core values, and they are like branches of the tree.
They are where we are investing.
