The old believe everything; the middle-aged suspect everything; the young know everything.[2]
a method, style, or manner of doing something.
A term used metaphorically to refer both to the Christian faith (especially in Acts) and to Jesus Christ himself (especially in John’s Gospel).
Faith in Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation for sinful human beings.
The term is often used with other expressions in Scripture to describe aspects of the life of the believer.

(NKJV) 14Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
The girl was right in saying Paul and his companions were committed servants, "slaves," fully subject to the Most High God.
However, her witness was incomplete.
It is the question what "the most high God" might mean to the Greeks and the Romans.
They might had supposed she was talking about one of their gods, such as Zeus or Jupiter.
We see that the word has no definite article.
It reads "a way," rather than "the way."
Note many even today are willing to call the gospel "a way" of salvation, but they are not at all willing to concede that the gospel is "the way," that is, the only way.

For the sake of argument, allow me to expound on the  subject matter
4And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
"The Way."
What does the statement mean?
:
(v.9:37-50) Jesus had taught the gospel to the disciples.
These final passages (i.e., v.49) speaks about following Jesus; and Luke immediately goes on to explain how, and whither, Jesus is to be followed (v.51-56).
Actually from 9:51 to 19:44 its overall subject is Jesus's teaching about his 'way', the way to be a Christian; He begins the subject from , we learn what 'the way' is; from 10:42, we learn what it is not.
5Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
(A) What the way is (9:51-10:16)
at end of chapter 9 Luke points out three incidents concerning people who are interested in Jesus's way, and the reiterated thought is 'Follow…follow…follow' (v.57,59,61).
therefore this is what it meant by involvement in the way of Jesus: to come after him (9:57-62), and to go before him (10:1-16) - to be his followers, and to be his heralds.
The way to be his followers ()
Going his way takes precedence over everything else.
God test our earnestness of heart by bringing to a fork in the road.
Which of the two ways you will choose.
Comfort or convention or custom - or Christ?
The way to be heralds (10:1-16)
Those who come to follow Jesus and to learn from him are then sent out ahead of him, to introduce him to others those who are to heralds Jesus speaks of toil (v.10.2;
bringing in the converts); danger (10.3: lambs going out amongst the wolves for evangelistic work); single-mindedness (10.4: you will forgo both comfort and leisure); and the forthright proclamation of the good news of the kingdom (10:5-12)
(B) What the way is not (): It is not about what you can do, but what Christ can do through you.
[]
the way is more so about commitment than achievement.
"It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me ().
The bottom from these passages keeping the law is a way of life; it is not a way to life.
Only by God's grace we can become the right kind of people.

Therefore, the way of Jesus is one of devotion and dedication, both in following him and in heralding him.
6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Conclusion: It means not achievement, but commitment; not activities, but attitudes; not quantity, but quality.
Our Scriptural text (10:38-42) sums all of the above up:
Jesus passing through the village(Bethany) of Martha and Mary stayed at their house.Mary…sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching': that is what the way is She was more concerned with the things of God than the societal role placed on herLearning to apply what the Word of God teaches is needful. But Martha was distracted with much serving' that is what the way is not.
The choice is not always between what is good and evil.
Often the choice is between what is good and what is better.
A.B. Simpson stated: "The better often is the foe that keeps us from the best.
"The Way means to be with Jesus, to learn him, and to know himIt means to be prepared to accompany him even 'Jerusalem', to the cross, where our old self-life diesIt is the total abandonment of ourselves to him, for him to work in us both to will and to work for his good pleasure ()
Therefore,15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim.215
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
