· He takes over and David has to flee and His son takes all David’s wives to a tent on top of the palace and you know… He has done to David what David did to Uriah the Hittite. The prophecy of Nathan fulfilled.
· Lot’s happens but they have a battle and David says don’t hurt my son. But Joab finds him hanging in a tree by his hair defenseless and kills him.

C. His family and kingship in shambles

· 3 son’s dead.

· Many man died in the civil war.

II. Don’t be surprised when you reap what you sow.

ILLUS: You know you shouldn’t have sex, you do. The reaping is not the baby. That is what happens when you have sex. If you jump off a building, you are not reaping the ground. You reap rebellion.

C. Sow to please the Spirit

· You will reap life, overflowing, the abundant life, the living water

IV. Sowing Seeds of righteousness

(CSB) The wicked person earns an empty wage, but the one who sows righteousness, a true reward.

A. There are many ways to invest our lives but none offers greater rewards that the pursuit of Righteousness

· We concentrate on not falling into temptation

· We do not concentrate on how we can do good today.

· Should righteousness be an accident? I don’t think so. It should be planned.

B. Every area of our lives should reflect the holiness of God, which is ours by salvation

· Thoughts – so we think of nothing not apropos for a child of God

· Actions – so that our lives demonstrate that we serve a Holy God

· Our integrity- so that we are above reproach in all our relationships

C. Are you taking God’s righteousness in your life for granted.

· Righteousness is something that you must allow the Holy Spirit to work into your life.

· Do you sow holy thoughts or are they filled with Lust, enmity, bitterness, jealousy, unforgiveness
· Jesus said if we seek him first and His righteousness, everything else will follow

Summary: If you want to harvest righteousness in our life tomorrow you must plant seeds of righteousness today. Don’t be afraid of your sowing wickedness! You acts of goodness and righteousness or 250 times more powerful! Now is not the time to whine it’s the time to sow! Sow with abandon choke out the weeds. Sow to the Spirit and reap a life worth living! You don’t have to reap what you sow You get too! I am a child of God. I can and will make a impact. For a 1000 generations!
