It’s very likely that we all understand the absolute importance of disciples being made. After-all, we know that God’s kingdom grows when he redeems more people through his Son, by his Spirit. And we agree that it’s far better for any person to have eternal life rather than eternal death. But the question of how disciples are made can easily baffle us. We can be quickly inundated with any number of ideas, methods and misconceptions, which makes it all quite messy and muddled in our minds. The heart of it, however, should remain fairly simple. Disciples are made in God’s power, through his people, who are proclaiming his truth, with Spirit-dependant prayer and ongoing perseverance.
