God First ( Faith & Prayer)
God’s people must pray before God Himself will rise up and work.
This is a principle for God’s working.
Prayer is not an expression of our wishes for God to yield to our petitions and fill up our selfish desires.
Prayer is the union of the believer’s thoughts with the will of God.
It is simply the believer’s speaking out through his mouth the will of God.
Let us Pray:
“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” ().
1. Earth must bind first before heaven will bind, and earth must loose first before heaven will loosed.
(agreement and corporate prayer)
2. The power to “prohibit” and “allow” and the power to “lock” and “open”.
(The “keys”).
()

(Judgment)
b).

(Authority)
3.

b).

c).

d). Heaven being restricted
Prayer does not alter that which God has determined.
It never changes anything; it merely achieves what He has already foreordained.
Prayerlessness, though, does bring about a change.
God will let many of His resolutions go suspended due to a lack of prayerful cooperation from His people.
The Holy Spirit (Our Intercessor) ()
“Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groaning too deep for words.
And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” ()
1. Why?
Does the Spirit groan (intercede) – for the needs of all the believers and to lead them to redemption.
(Fasting)
2. The Holy Spirit is our firstfruit or foretaste of God’s promise and blessings, including living in God’s presence forever.
() (Salvation)
One who really prays not only is a person who often approaches God, but also is a person whose will frequently enters into God’s will that is to say, his thought often enters into God’s thoughts.
We should draw near to God, allowing Him to impress in us that which He desires to do, so that we ourselves may intercede with groaning.
Prayer the Armor of God ()
1.
We should be inwardly exercised and have spiritual insight so that we gain a knowledge of the spiritual realm and can observe much of satan’s “hidden” work.
2. Standing is only possible with the full armor of God.
()
3. The weapons of our warefare are not carnal (of the flesh).
We should not employ any earthly instruments used by satan.
a).

()
b).

c). Knowledge of the spiritual realm.
()
4.
Destroying the works of the devil - Is God’s intention.
To avenge believers.
()
5.
The Spirit of God – A spirit of trust is essential to prayer and the total Christian life.
(Judge 16:16) (Samson)
The tactic of satan is to wear out the saints ()
Corporate prayer does not come automatically; it has to be learned.
We should learn how to sense the feeling of others, learn how to touch what is called the prayer of the church, and learn how to recognize the release of the prayer burden.
