Jesus Is With Us

20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you [a]always, even to the end of the age.”
Jesus has not left us alone to carry on the mission He began. He is still with us in the form of the Holy Spirit. Christians must recognize that the indwelling Holy Spirit guides us and teaches us all things pertaining to Christ.
12 “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to guide us into all the truth.- Everything we need to know will be communicated by the Holy Spirit. God’s Word was given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the truth of it is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit will only communicate to us what Jesus says. The Holy Spirit listens to Jesus and reveals to us His purposes. Jesus uses His Word, prayer, circumstances, and the church as vehicles by which to communicate His purpose
His Word- 16 All Scripture is [a]inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for [b]training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (Journaling)
PG. 167
Prayer - 26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the [a]saints according to the will of God. (Effectiveness)
PG. 175
Circumstances -Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. (Direction)
PG. 189-190
Church - 15 but [a]speaking the truth in love, [b]we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together [c]by what every joint supplies, according to the [d]proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love. (Service)
PG. 205
AS believers in Jesus Christ we must recognize that we are not alone. We should not try to do the work of the Lord in our own strength and reason. We should be spending time with Jesus and being sensitive to what the Holy Spirit communicates to us.

Spending time with Jesus Equips Us For His Mission

27 [a]and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
The Disciples were Jesus’ witnesses because they spent time with Him. Jesus poured his life into them. His first command was “follow me”. This has not changed. If we want to be a disciple of Jesus Christ we must follow him. You do not need have to be in vocational ministry in order to be a disciple of Jesus. Al you have to do is follow Him.
When you follow Jesus, you will experience Him. When you experience Jesus you will love Him deeper. When you love him deeper you will tell others about him. When you tell others about him, He is glorified. This is your purpose in life!
