Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.

19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever.

And presently the fig tree withered away.

20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

In observing people and their walk with God, I have come to the conclusion that it is easier to ignore passages like this in the Bible than it is to figure them out and live in their principles.

After all, who has that much faith!

It is easier to live addicted, than by faith!

It is easier to live depressed, than by faith!

It is easier to live angry, than by faith!

It is easier to live with less, than live by faith!

It is easier to live in fear, than live by faith!

It is easier to live under a cloud of dread, than live by faith!

It is easier to live in hate and resentment of past wrongs, than live by faith!

It is easier to live

It is easier to live through sleepless nights, than live by faith!

It is easier to live

It is easier to live ____________, than to live by faith!

BUT if we could ever get to the place where we could see how simple and easy faith is

It would change our world - IT WOULD CHANGE THE WORLD!

Journey; progression of faith:

Begin’s with HOPE - I hope I can stop smoking, depression, fear, intimidation

As hope builds, an belief develops - I believe I can stop smoking, depression, fear, intimidation

Belief leads to an expectancy - I will I stop smoking, depression, fear, intimidation

Expectancy turns to full blown faith - I have stopped smoking, depression, fear, intimidation

BEFORE IT HAS EVEN HAPPENED!

Faith is the evidence of things not seen!

Key take away to faith: faith is a muscle that can only gain strength as it is exercised.

God first started dealing with me, increasing my faith-

My home town of Springfield MO the main street was Glenstone.

East side of town - light after light

One day I was driving north up Glenstone and God spoke to me that every light would be green.

And it was!

And my flesh told me that it was a coincidence…

Next day that same.

Next day I drove all the way out of town on green lights - That’s dozens of lights...

I began to exercise my faith, little by little!

I have to ask, WHY????

I have watched some of you struggle with faith since we began this journey this year...

Why?

You have NO faith!

Why don’t you have faith?

Faith is so simple… BUT seems to be low hanging fruit for the enemy to steal.

WHY!

If is the faith chapter, helps us understand how to grow our faith!
