A curious mom uses her new iPhone to text her daughter to ask a very important question. The text reads: What does IDK, ILY, TTYL mean? Before long, the daughter texts back, "I don't know. I love you. Talk to you later" to which the mom responds, "It's okay. Don't worry about it, I'll ask your brother. Love you, too."

What is Dumanis?

Greek word for power meaning supernatural strength, power, or ability that is inherited and residing in us.

Its supernatural strength to do miraculous works, its God power to perform miracles, its God ability to figure out problems.

Dunamis power is the inheritance we have inside us to see incredible works.

God has graced us with Dunamis!

Ignoring Dunamis power is dangerous

Matthew 22:23–30 NLT

23 That same day Jesus was approached by some Sadducees—religious leaders who say there is no resurrection from the dead. They posed this question: 24 “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies without children, his brother should marry the widow and have a child who will carry on the brother’s name.’ 25 Well, suppose there were seven brothers. The oldest one married and then died without children, so his brother married the widow. 26 But the second brother also died, and the third brother married her. This continued with all seven of them. 27 Last of all, the woman also died. 28 So tell us, whose wife will she be in the resurrection? For all seven were married to her.” 29 Jesus replied, “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God. 30 For when the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. In this respect they will be like the angels in heaven.

Matthew 22:23-

The Sadducees were trying to prove that there was no such thing as resurrection from the dead.

Jesus told them that they do not understand scriptures and the they don’t understand power. The word power is the word dunamis.

The Sadducees were only looking at the possibility of the natural! They could not see God side.

The Kingdom of God functions on a different power than what the natural does.

In the past 10 years there has been a big resurrection of movies that involve super hero’s. From Iron Man, Captain America, to the incredible Hulk.

All of these movie portray a figure who has a unique power in them to fight people who are from another world or even another dimension.

All of these movies are made for entertainment, but in order for the movie to make sense we have to accept that there is are worlds and other dimensions out there.

The Sadducees could not picture another world or heaven, and could not picture something being able to have greater power to change the course of humanity.

When we ignore that there is a power in us to do miraculous works then we will become like the Pharisees and Sadducees who could not recognize Jesus when He appeared on the earth. Why? Because Jesus did not make sense to them!

Miraculous power does not make sense to the natural, but miraculous power is a common experience in Heaven.

God and Dunamis are in You

1 John 4:4 NLT

4 But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

There is a Spirit that lives in you! The Holy Spirit, and in most people today He is lying dormant!

Because of God’s grace He living in you to give you abilities to live a holy life, abilities to see miracles happen when pray for other people, abilities to intercede for things, strength to stand against the works of the enemy, and power to overcome!

My friends we have no excuses to not radically see the power of God move in this city, in this state, and in this nation!

So then how? How can we not be like the Sadducees and the Pharisees?
