How to Follow Christ’s Example
I. He Performed His Father’s Will
A. Christ came to do His Father’s will willingly and of His own accord.
B. Christians are entreated to do the will of God
II. He Declared His Father’s Word
A. Christ used the Word of God to defeat Satan in time of temptation.
B. We, too, must use the Word to defeat Satan, to increase our faith, and to point others to Christ.
III. He Walked in His Father’s Ways
A. Jesus forgave sins, healed the sick, and helped all who came to Him for help.
B. We should walk in God’s ways, too. A kind word, a smile, the lending of a helping hand, express God through us.
IV. He Fulfilled His Father’s Work
A. Jesus did the work God sent Him to do. He fulfilled His task by dying on the cross for mankind. He was faithful
B. There is work for each of us to do, also. We must share Christ and seek to win the lost to Him. Let us be faithful to do our Father’s work here on earth.
