Moses is favored by God and God knows Moses by name.

Gabriel told Mary (Luke 1:30) that she had “found favor with God” and would bear the Christ-child.

We are also favored by God.

At age twelve Jesus enjoyed the favor of God and men as he “grew in wisdom and stature” (Luke 2:52),

God won’t show his glory to Moses but He will show His goodness.

God proclaims His name to Moses.

The name of the Lord

God Himself protects Moses from seeing Him and elects Moses to see Him.
