THERE IS A NEED!
A preacher got a new pair of false teeth, his first Sunday he preached for 8 minutes, the second Sunday he preached for 10 minutes, the third Sunday he preached for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The church congregation mobbed the pulpit and demand and explanation for the long sermon.
The preacher explained, “The first Sunday his mouth hurt so, bad that he could only preach for 8 minutes.
The second Sunday his mouth hurt for so, bad he could only preach for 10 minutes.
Today he said, I made a mistake by picking up and using my wife’s false teeth and I just couldn’t shut up!”
This morning I want to speak to you about a couple of things that has been laying heavy on my heart.
Somethings that our church has been lazy and not doing.
This laziness is not on you the members of Friendship Baptist, but on me.
I’m the pastor, and I responsible for the actions of this church.
This morning sermon is titled: “There IS A Need?”
I bet your wondering what I’m talking about?
I bet your wondering what is the need?
We are in need of some Friendship Baptist Church Outreach Ministries!
You may say, “We have a couple of outreach programs
Joy (Just Older Youth.)
Saturday Night Jubilee
And you would be correct, we do.
But, we are in need of a couple more, and they are needed now not later!
We are in need of an Organized Visitation Program.
We are in the need to support Missions.
We are in a disparate need for a Baptist Bible Therapy Ministry.
A Gospel Teaching
King James Bible Teaching
Biblical Counseling Support Group Ministry.
It is needed now!
This morning I going to show you the need for these ministries, and after the services this morning.
I will be asking the church to vote on adding these two ministries to Friendship Baptist.
My Reasons are simple.
We need Church Growth.
We can’t achieve this without and Organized Visitation Program.
We need to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ
People are depressed
People are hurting
People are greiving
People are in pain.
People are needing to be ministered too.
As a Baptist Church.
As a True Gospel of Jesus Christ Preaching Baptist Church.
As a King James Bible Preaching Baptist Church
We have fallen short of this community and church need.
My goal for this morning is to show you, the congregation of Friendship Baptist Church.
The need for Outreach Ministries and to get you excited about them.
We need to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in every ministry this church has to offer.
We as the members of this church need to support the ministries of this church.
Physically, by getting involved.
Actually participating.
Financially, by the giving of tithes and offering.
Prayer, by praying for our church and it’s ministries.

DEPRESSION IS A STATE OF EXISTENCE MARKED BY A SENSE OF BEING PRESSED DOWN, WEIGHED DOWN, OR BURDENED, WHICH AFFECTS A PERSON PHYSICALLY, MENTALLY, SPIRITUALLY, AND RELATIONALLY.
In other words, depression is not a state of mind, but a state of being.
