What Jesus Means To Me!
What Jesus Means To Me!
"What Jesus Means to Me"
To me the only important thing about living is Christ, and dying would be profit for me.
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith!
INTRODUCTION: Jesus should mean more than all the world to us. He is our pardon, peace, joy, hope, assurance, friend, companion, and coming King.
Assurance = a positive declaration intended to give confidence; a promise.
1.JESUS IS MY ASSURANCE IN PRAYER.
He has given us a pattern for prayer
Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”
So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.
He wants us to pray in his name
Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!
He is able to answer our prayers
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

2. JESUS IS MY ASSURANCE IN TEMPTATION.
I rely on him to keep me from falling into temptations
Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.
He gives victory over temptations
The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
He rewards me for resisting temptation
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

3. JESUS IS MY ASSURANCE OF ETERNAL LIFE.
My faith begins and ends in Jesus
Let us look only to Jesus, the One who began our faith and who makes it perfect. He suffered death on the cross. But he accepted the shame as if it were nothing because of the joy that God put before him. And now he is sitting at the right side of God’s throne.
He watches over my Soul
Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls.
He gives me Eternal Life
And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

4. Jesus Is my Assurance in death
I know who has the keys of death
I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.
Jesus gives me comfort dealing with death
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Jesus takes the sting out of death
O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

5. Jesus Is My Assurance In The Resurrection
I will be resurrected because of him
We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you.
I will have a new body
But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior.
He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control.
One Day I shall Be Like Him
Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.
I will be taken to heaven by him
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves.
Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.
