Following God, worshiping God and Serving others is explained and understood fairly simply. The Christian life is a pretty simple one. Maybe that's why it's so hard to put into practice. We need constant reminders, whether by a regular reading of God's Word on our own, or gathering with others and sharing the Word with each other like we did this morning. Micah, a prophet, reminds Israel that God has shown you how to honor Him and show your appreciation for His watchful presence over His people. It's no different from what God asks of us today.
Why are these same themes and commands repeated so many times in The Bible? Because we are children of God. How many times did you have to be told a thing as a child as you grow and learn how to live in the world? How much more do we need to be reminded for the new live Christ Jesus has given us?
