Introduction
In today’s world, all kinds of information is just around everywhere in social media and internet, where everyone whether a child, a youth, a professional, or an adult, can access and share information under their own discretion.
There is no absolute censorship even a parents for their child.
These information can mold our children’s mind, change our beliefs and perspective, and even our way of life.
Today is a high time that we must build our foundation in Christ the right way and not based on the opinion of others or a any tradition or trends that has no foundation in Christ.
In today’s time that disinformation is prevalent, we must stand in our faith and be confident that in any time our faith may be challenged, we will be a conqueror and will “LET NO ONE” to deceive us nor capture us by their beliefs and philosophy.
Our study of Colossians is very relevant today as it has been since the beginning it was written.
As we all know, this letter was written by Paul to the believers in Colossea.
Though he was not physically met them, Epaphras his fellow servant in the Christ, reported to Paul what was happening to the Church, and how the false teaching are so prevalent from in and out of the Church.
Most of the believers in the Church are gentiles with some Jews.
And we have to acknowledge the pressure from their surroundings who worship other gods such as but not limited to Artemis, Helios, Demeter, Men, Isis, and Serapis.
Also their social environment believe in Mystical experience, Roman imperial cult, and Judaism.
Roman Colossian coins indicate the worship of numerous deities, including Artemis, Helios, Demeter, Men, Isis, and Serapis.
To this religious milieu could presumably be added Phrygian mysteries, the Roman imperial cult, and Judaism.
The
As we have learned last month in Chapter 1, Paul begins his letter by exalting the Supremacy, Sufficiency, and Authority of Christ.
That Christ is all and all.
He is God who became flesh to reconcile us and to present us holy and blameless before God.
That Christ is enough for us to be saved.
Now, as we continue our study, we will look into the ways and means of Satan, the father of lies, to capture and deceive the believers.
And of course we will look into the greater plan and purpose of our gracious LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I hope and I pray that His word would encourage us to grow more deeper into the truth knowledge of God according to Christ.
And that this study would warn us not to be deceived by the works of Satan.

"Let no one” - was mentioned four (4) times in Chapter 2
Colossians 2:
These repeated words gives us a great warning of the ploy of Satan.
His ways and means to deceive us.
Matthew
Satan’s Ploy: A Warning
Let no one takes you captive
1 Corinthians 3:18
Satan captured us through human wisdom
Let no one capture you through philosophy

Colossians 2:
Wag natin hayaan na tayo ay mabihag ng kaaway sa pamamagitan ng mga idelohiya na hindi ayon kay Kristo.
Mga paniniwala na hindi nagdudulot ng paglago at paglalim kay Kristo.
When these beliefs comes to us, lets ask this question: “Does it give Christ the place of supremacy?”
How does the enemy starts to capture you?
EXAMPLE:
“Kapatid, okay lang yan! God loves you.
Nauunawaan ka ng Dios.
Ituloy mo lang yan.”
“I worship God is spirit and truth.
“Claim it kapatid!
Napanaginipan kita kagabi, may malaking blessing daw na dadating sayo.
Claim mo na yan!”
“Ako, kahit hindi na ako nakakasimba, ang puso ko naman ay sumasamba sa Kanya.
Alam ako nauunawaan Niya ang kalagayan ko.
Napakabuti nga ng Dios, kasi kahit ganito ako, pinagpapala Niya pa rin ako.”
Listen Church, these are arguments or words that is not according to Christ.
These are Satan’s lies.
Look on how Satan use and quote the scripture to deceive Jesus Christ in the wilderness.
Matthew 4:2-
Let no one judge you with religious observance

Background of False teachers: Mixed oriental mysticism with Greek philosophy and Jewish legalism.
The Colossian believers were involved in Jewish legalism—rituals, diets, holidays, and so on.
Like the child who admires his father’s photo while he ignores his father’s presence, so these Christians had turned from the fullness of Christ to the ABCs (“elements”—2:8, 20) of the world.
Let no one disqualify you with self-made religion
Colossians 2:17
Let no one disqualify or cheat you of your reward.
Meaning, if you are of Christ, you should not be identified with these practices and false belief.
Let us remember that we are ri
We are blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ.
We have been granted all things that we need in life and godliness.
Ephesians 1:3
2 Peter 1
“Mayaman tayo sa Panginoon”
These practices are self-centered, showing a false humility seemingly godly, but does not add value in our spirituality and relationship with Christ.
That is Satan’s Ploy.
Now, let’s take a look into our Saviour’s Plan which is an encouragement as Paul declares in
[Emphasis on: “that their hearts may be encouraged”]
Saviour’s Plan: An encouragement
God wants us to:
Enriched in wisdom and knowledge
[Give emphasis on: “to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge”]
True wisdom and knowledge can only be found in Christ.
Colossians 2:
Christ-centered wisdom and knowledge is essential in our daily walk with Him.
To be pleasing to Him.
And to bear fruit with Him.
John MacArthur
No matter where you are in your spiritual growth, Scripture is sufficient to equip you for every good work.
True wisdom and knowledge is always bounded by love.
Love that is increasing more and more as we move closer to Christ.
It is essential for us to identify what is true between right and almost right.

Colossians 1:
Charles Spurgeon

It is knowing the difference between right and almost right.
