II. The Antichrist is coming, but many antichrists are already here.

III. A wolf(antichrist) can hide amongst the heard (the church) in sheep’s clothing but eventually his fangs will show (true colors/ulterior motives).

IV. The best way to detect a fake (the antichrist) is to know the original (Christ).

V. Recognizing the spirit of antichrist is easy.

(Don’t be deceived)

VI. Resisting the spirit of antichrist is not.

VII. Our best defence is a good offence. [Hence, John’s imperative to “abide” 6 times in today’s passage.]

VIII. A good offence wins the game.

(Don’t be deprived)

IX. Believers should live their lives above reproach.

(Don’t be doubted)
