Life and death are in the power of the tongue
and yet we do not truly understand what that really means
we talk and talk, we live and live and yet we do not really think about what we are doing
and that is a huge problem
Lately I have been talking to my mom about the power of the tongue, and everytime that I speak to her she tells me that she is watching her words
see we don’t understand that even the littlest word can put us in a huge whirlwind.
So I have a few questions for you
have you ever really thought about the words here in that scripture?
Have you ever thought about its meaning,
i mean truly
Have you thought about what those words in that scripture are representing?
Have you thought about what the Lord God is saying here?
See there are quite a few scriptures that tell me that we need to watch our tongue
and as i look at them that tells me that Father knew a few things that we don’t, about watching what we say
it tells me that the watching of our tongue is pretty important
Yet we go through life just thinking that our words don’t matter
we are so used to things that we just say always that it becomes an habitual habit
I mean words are word’s right?
At least that is what we think?
I mean do you remember the saying that even as parents i know that we told our kids
that sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me
so tell me something,
were they right
did it work
is it true
I mean for some little while it seemed to work
But then the world decided to take a different stand and ran a campaign to teach us the exact opposite
They began to teach us that sticks and stones may break our bones, but yes words do truly hurt.
So no wonder that some of us grew up to become depressed and bipolar
we really didn’t know what was right
we didn’t know what was up and what was down.
I mean our parents did the very best that they could
I mean what parent wants their child hurt.
So here we have the world telling us that yes words do hurt, and then we have our parents and others in society saying that sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me
I mean i understand to a point why the world went the complete opposite direction from its original stance
Yet i get it why people ended up being confused.
I mean there are people today that are still hurting from the words and actions of their bullies.
And so you are going to tell me that words don’t hurt?
or do they?
completely understand why we ended up so screwed up.
I mean on one hand we were seeing it as a defense mechanism
while on the other side of the spectrum we used it as an emotional ploy
I mean thankfully, neither of them were incorrect
your words can be used to either tear someone down or can be used to build them up
I mean honestly it is my choice to allow the words of man to hurt me
I mean what we have to understand is that our defense is the truth and we were missing something
I mean our parents were trying to give us a defense
to give us a stance to fall back on
What we have to understand is that our defense is the truth and were were missing something in the scope of things
And that pretty much in all cases
I remember that as a cop that we use to say that there are 3 sides to every story, theirs, mine and the truth
And it was everytime that we went in on a case that was exactly how it looked
i mean lets look at domestic
see in that case the agresser had a story, then the victim had a story
and rarely did one coinside or support the other
And then it was the fact that as the officer had to use our best judgement and solidify enough truth to support an arrest.
Then someone went to jail
from that point the courts got involved
and it was there that the courts had to attain and put the stories together and eventually had to extemporize the truth
And that is our judicial system at work
does that sound familiar
I mean how many of you realize and understand that the Lord has his own judicial system
that every other process was mirrored from the Lords foundation
that his word is truth
that his word was established over 2000 years ago
that it was established 400 years before moses
This truth is composed of 66 books of truth
Yet somewhere we got it mixed up
See somewhere we thought that somehow that we could add in our two cents and help out the creator of the universe
Like he really needed our help
I mean he created the universe in 7 days
see here God spoke
as as he spoke
as he opened his mouth and verbal notes came out of his mouth,
it was then that something happened
And not just sometimes, but every time
Now follow me here because i promise that i am going somewhere
see when the creator opened his mouth things happened
are you following me here?
And it was in gen 1:26 where he said, let us create man in our image, and in our likeness.
MY GOD I WISH THAT I COULD GET SOME ONE TO HELP ME HERE
- MY GOD I WISH THAT I COULD GET SOME ONE TO HELP ME HERE
I KNOW WHERE I AM GOING AND IM GETTING EXCITED
IM SO EXCITED THAT I AM ABOUT TO BLESS MYSELF
You have to understand that you were created in his image and his likeness
my God there should be some screaming
it got quite
thats ok though
ill say it again
you were created in his image and in his likeness
and here we are looking at his character and his integrity, while looking at the full embodiment of the father
you are not just a mere copy
DO YOU GET IT?
See thats why it is so important to research and dig into each and every word
that is why it is important not to just read the bible as if it were just another book
do you get it
that you were created in his image, his character, his integrity, his embodiment
you were created with his qualities
my God
i don’t think your ready to hear that yet
