11 Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. 12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. 13 And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? 18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

2 “Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper, everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled by a corpse. 3 You shall put out both male and female; you shall put them outside the camp, that they may not defile their camps in the midst of which I dwell.”
45 “Now the leper on whom the sore is, his clothes shall be torn and his head bare; and he shall cover his mustache, and cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ 46 He shall be unclean. All the days he has the sore he shall be unclean. He is unclean, and he shall dwell alone; his dwelling shall be outside the camp.

Luke 17
the kingdom has come:
Jesus does not pull a TV preacher and make a spectacle of the sick. this is not a opportunity for fundraising and self promotion, it is for the sake of the Father and His character.
Sometimes a miracle From God requires and act of faith from us.
Sometimes a miracle From God requires and act of faith from us.
The New King James Version Chapter 17
14 So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
our action does not earn the miracle, Jesus healed them because it was the will of God for the Glory of His name.
sometimes (often in the bible) when the Lord moved he required an act of faith from the recipient.
Christ longs for intimacy with His people ( you and I). He will Impact us personally, from that we will learn the power of obedience.
expound here on how they were healed on the way.
what does He want to do in our lives on the way? while we are stuck in the worlds way of thinking, wait and see.
on the way or wait and see?

Jesus calls the one who returned a foreigner. this is not an indictment on the Samaritan, rather this is a clue as to how we get when we feel entitled.
this can be seen often in the church:
we prayed for the child, now we curse the miracle we prayed for because we do not praise…
we prayed for the house now we curse the maintenance because we do not praise…
we prayed for the spouse, now we curse the communication issues, we do not praise.
we prayed for the promotion, now we curse the work load because we do not praise for what he has done.
