We began a series on the book of Colossians, looking at 1:1-8. The main point of this scripture was the Gospel flourishes when we faithfully pray, demonstrate love, and are transformed by God’s grace. We looked at three types of faithful believers. The first were prayer warriors who faithfully seek the Lord on others’ behalf: Paul and Timothy (v. 1-4). Second, people who faithfully follow Christ and love each other (v. 5-6). Third, a pastor who faithfully shepherds their flock: Epaphras (v 7-8).
