If last week was about the agents of discipleship (who makes disciples), then this week is about the recipients of discipleship (where disciples are made). And if last week’s answer was everyone (that is, all Christians), then this week’s answer is everywhere. We are all called to make disciples wherever we are – in every sphere of life. It’s never just ‘in here’ (i.e. the church and home) and it’s never just ‘out there’ (the world). It’s always both. It’s naturally both. Jesus commissions us to make disciples in the church and through the church, to the ends of the earth. What the Spirit does in the body of believers, he uses to witness to the world. There’s nowhere we can go where we can’t make learners of Jesus.
